I agreed with it. I think changing manager is more important than promotion. Can you imagine the long term damage redknapp will do if he's asked to bring in 20 new players? It will set us back years, he will leave and someone else will pick up the mess. We should start rebuilding now with a proper manager.
Thats how Im beggining to think. If Redcrap by some sort of miracle manages to get promotion, we'll be stuck with him unless we pay him off. If there was someone else availble now to bring in now we'd still have a play off chance, although we'd have to pay arry off. Difficult call for TF.
I get excited before each and every game, but soon get bored and fed up. I made a sandwich at half time and then forgot about the game and missed the first four minutes because I had a look at the newspaper (that I had already read) and got sidetracked. I was at the game against Reading and had absolutely no focus on what I was "watching" in the second half. I am bored stiff and fed up.
There's no way TF would sack him, what do you want, instant gratification and long term pain or suck it up short term for long-term gain? Ideally it would be promotion and then redknapp retires.
Thank you Yorkshire. I didn't have the pleasure of seeing us then as I was involved with children & local football. If it was worse then than it is now, my heart goes out to all that endured it.
I think quite a few of us here are in that camp these days, certainly me. With 10 mins to play my daughter asked me to drive her to work - actually the prospect of coming home to check the final score was more exciting than the 80 mins I had just watched - would it possibly be 2-1 us, 2-1 them, or as you were, no change 1-1, which was indeed the boring case.
I said to the missus on the way to the game that I couldn't remember a time when I found it so difficult to get excited about match day. And that comes from a season ticket holder of 50+ years. Maybe I'm just getting old. Or maybe we really are that boring. The lack of noise from our fans from the off tells us a lot.
I think you're spot on. This year is my 50th since I first came to Loftus Road and the football on offer is poor entertainment. That coupled with a manager who seems to be concentrating on ensuring that he cant be blamed by the press has had the effect that I feel disconnected from the club. Even during our 2 years in the prem I looked forward to games, even though we got beat most weeks. This season it feels like a chore. The manager and team dont seem to learn from one week to the next.
I was very involved too raising my five kids, all registered in summer football league plus swimming lessons.
My mate Queeny must have been watching a different game them. He said he would pay to watch football like that and you were cutting Leeds defence apart. Maybe he had drank to much Fosters lol
I think if you actually read my posts good lady you'll see that i actually stated that i maybe need to re watch the game as my opinion varies greatly from my fellow R'ss.... See Judo's colapse post for ref. ,ok>
Interesting. I was not able to go so relying on the FLS highlights. Their goal. Lucky deflection. Green might have saved otherwise. Our goal -nice interplay and very tidy finish from Jenas. A footballing goal. Nice interplay between Morrison and Traore. Had it been Charlie there instead of Armond - goal. Lovely interplay at some stage that lead to a Jenas header that was saved. Of course, Clint's very well taken goal that was correctly, sadly, ruled off side. I emphasise again, I was not able to be there. Did the high lights flatter us? Does this team actually have more in the tank and might we see it emerge before it is too late? It was important not to lose yesterday. 1st place is practically impossible for us and 2nd might be too. However, we have some winnable games in the run in. It is not over just yet.
Did the highlights flatter us you ask? Absolutely. I don't have Sky Sports so have been going to my fathers to watch the games. I feel sorry for making him endure such drab and unexciting stuff.
RTID I havn't bothered to watch any "highlights" but use of the word alone is very flattering. A draw was a just result between two crap teams. As well as having "some winnable games in the run in" we have had some winnable games in the last five games & have managed just the two draws. If you mean being in the play offs, I agree that it is noy over yet. Automatic promotion is certainly out though. How could we win four more games than Burnley manage?
