I believe that we are all beginning to understand "SO'D speak". It's a case of reading between the lines and it's what he doesn't say is what he wants us to understand. I therefore think that most of us are already well in tune with him. Those that are unable to interpret his messages, probably never will.
And going back a bit, Bob Paisley was hardly noted for his communication skills with the press. One does not need, even in this era of instant news and TV interviews, to be a "communication genius". Just a good football manager/coach who can get his message across to the players in his charge.
If O'Driscoll does keep you up, arguably it would be the greater achievement? The trouble with '66 was that it all went downhill from there. You will ultimately measure Sean by where he takes you from there. Wouldn't argue with that cider, and I never said any different.
I guess ultimately it's how he communicates to the players that matters. Certainly the squad have responded to the way he wants us to play - words/phrases like "better organised", "improved work rate", "more commited", "more solid" etc show that's the case (oh ... and an improvement in results)
