Just been reading HullLive about new away grounds to visit and some we haven't been to for some years. It says we haven't been to Priestfield Gillingham for 35 years. Surely we played there in the early 2000's when we played Brighton whose new ground was being built??
Yes we played Brighton there in April 1999. But we haven’t played Gillingham away since 1985, which is remarkable because the two clubs have crossed during promotion/relegation a few times.
It's just that it states "City haven't set foot in this part of Kent in more than 35 years.". I remember the game as a couple of us went. Living in Essex it was more of a home game for us.
