Is there a difference between a supporter and a fan of NUFC?

Supporter is there for the good and bad times, a fan just for the prawn sandwiches (©Roy Keane).

Tbh the terms fan/supporter/follower are all pretty synonymous and interchangable. You support you team, go the matches, shout happily in the pub when they score a goal, etc.

A few glory hunters picked Man U to support in the 90s cos they were winning everything, yeah the prawn sandwich brigade....whatever, they're stuck with a ****e team now.

And in the converse to glory hunters just cos you support a **** and depressing team doesn't necessarily mean your any more hardcore or passionate.... ie just cos Sunderland fans go through lifetimes of soul crushing depression with no light at the end of the tunnel, doesn't mean that they're in any way more dedicated fans, just means they support a **** team.

So are you finally admitting that you are not a NUFC supporter?

:bandit::bandit:

I would describe myself as someone that just likes watching football and the type that if someone asks if they have a fat arse I will tell them they do even if they don't.
