New research from the Levada Center indicates that as many as 47% of Russians believe that the invasion of Ukraine brings more negative consequences than positive ones. This is a significant increase compared to data from May 2023, when 41% of respondents gave such a response.

The largest group of critics of military actions comprises women, young people up to 24 years old, residents of small towns with populations of up to 100,000, and those who believe the country is heading in the wrong direction.

The survey showed that the majority of this group (52%) indicated that the war brought "death, sorrow, and suffering to many people." Other reasons for dissatisfaction include losses among the Russian army (21%), problems for the civilian population (7%), and a deteriorating economic situation (18%), including rising prices and significant government spending on military actions.

The survey was conducted between 26 September and 2 October of this year on a representative sample of 1,606 people, including those aged 18 and over. The interviews were conducted in respondents' homes using face-to-face interview methods.

I have a sneaking feeling that this supposed poll won't worry Putin a single iota. How many Russian families have lost sons and husbands to this unwarranted war and how many of them will ever have the balls to stand up in public and say Putin has to go? Fear is the biggest enemy against the Russian people ever having their say about the atrocities being committed under the banner of a "Special Operation"? With all of the other nonsense going on in the Middle East the Ukrainian conflict has taken a little bit of a backseat but nonetheless it is still a major threat to world peace and unless we sort out both of the conflict zones we are putting our future in peril.

The survey shows that 31% of respondents would support President Vladimir Putin's decision if he ends the war on Ukraine's terms. To remind you, Ukraine demands the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from all occupied territories.

As indeed they should and that should be followed up with a referendum in the disputed areas, that is overseen by a totally independent body, to decide their territorial future. As we all suspect Putin will never go for such a ballot if it lessens his chances of staying in power and control so guessing what might seal a permanent end to Putin's war. We can only hope I suppose.

nigh on impossible as over 60% of the population in these areas have been forced out and replaced by russian citizens once such place where higher is Mariupol almost all russian migrants!
THEY ARE WORRIED about the massive storage facility there for weapons etc and currently moving to safer areas also building up massive supplies of fuel in tankers that are being dispersed behind the front lines due to UKR success at targeting oil storage plants

Currently, the ATESH movement, formed in occupied Crimea in the summer of 2022, has over 2,000 resistance fighters.
According to a spokesperson for this partisan group, they operate across all occupied territories of Ukraine and within Russia itself,
penetrating deep into the Russian army, and we are constantly growing.

"Almost from the very beginning, Russian soldiers have been joining us, helping to obtain information both on the front line and in the rear in Crimea and Russia.
But we are currently seeing a significant increase in the number of Russian soldiers joining our ranks," the spokesperson for ATESH stated.
One of the Russian conscripts cooperating with Ukrainian forces recounted in an interview with a British newspaper how he set fire to his unit's trench on the left bank of the Dnipro River in July.
It is noted that the Russian conscript was recently recruited by the Ukrainian Crimean Tatar resistance movement ATESH, which opposes the occupation.

The partisans collaborate with Ukrainian intelligence and other resistance movements,
relying on the deep local knowledge of residents and increasingly on Russian soldiers themselves.

ATESH reports that a highly successful operation facilitated by a Russian soldier resulted in the
destruction of the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the occupied port city of Sevastopol.
In September 2023, according to Ukrainian sources, a missile strike killed 32 Russian officers, including a fleet admiral.

A quick read through the various media shows UKR is doing quite a bit of damage knocking out expensive and dangerous weaponary and ammo that feeds them ....

Two Pion self-propelled artillery systems were destroyed by Ukrainian Forces Near Horlivka.
The occupied city is located 25 km from the front line and is considered a deep rear area for Russian forces, according to Khortytsky Wind.
"Two powerful 2S7 Pion self-propelled artillery systems were destroyed by the battalion of unmanned aerial systems," the report states.
"The enemy’s equipment, along with ammunition, was destroyed by precise sniper-like drops from a Nemesis bomber drone. The strike was coordinated by aerial reconnaissance from the united assault brigade of the National Police, Lut," the military added.
The 2S7 Pion is a 203-mm self-propelled artillery system capable of striking targets up to 47.5 km away.

    other snippets .........
An associate of Vladimir Putin has warned that Russia is headed for collapse, as most companies may be forced to shut down due to rising interest rates.
Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec, Russia's largest arms producer, criticized the record-high interest rates, which have reached unprecedented levels.

Billionaire Alexey Mordashov, the main shareholder of Severstal, also warned that interest rate hikes have "gone too far."
Meanwhile, Russia’s central bank indicated that inflation rates are expected to continue climbing.

COMMENT ...Q? ... what happens when Putrid cant pay the people who depend solely on the state or soldiers on pensions because of physical losses in or due to UKR war!

Gunmen opened fire on a Russian military convoy in Chechnya, killing at least one person and injuring another.
The incident happened in the outskirts of the capital Grozny and has sparked fears the country is facing the prospect of renewed instability and conflict. [ CRACKS APPEARING?].........

Since the large-scale invasion of Ukraine began in 2022, reports of low morale within Russia’s military have been common, with many soldiers expressing concerns over both their leadership and the tactics used in combat.
The Russian government initially attracted personnel with high salaries and bonus packages, but as the conflict nears its third year, complaints from soldiers and their families about missed payments are increasing.
According to Newsweek, some Russian troops are still waiting for bonuses promised to them months ago, a frustration now coming to light in a rather unexpected way................................
Russian Pilots Send Bomb Message to Putin Over Unpaid Bonuses ..............

Written from the perspective of the bomb itself, the note reads:
“Dear Ministry of Defense, I’m a FAB with UMPK (glide bomb). Soon, I’ll fly to destroy the occupiers in the Kursk region. I’m upset because my crew hasn’t received counter-terrorism operation bonuses since August. Fix it! P.S. You can make mistakes, but you can’t lie.”

I suppose the obvious is he has 3 things he could do!!!!.............. continue with improved help ........ continue with similar slightly reduced help .......... do very little and just top up a few areas of ammo..............
MUSK has apparently stated to Zelensky use of Starlink is to stay as is ....
The resistance movement is growing and getting some good results ... the biggest aim is to destroy the bridge ............ cut off Crimea not seen a lot about it other than the massive storage at Mariupol has been spread out ... but that would likely be a target at some point

As far as Trump is concerned I have noticed a slight softening of his tone recently over the Ukraine issue and perhaps the fears that a lot of people had, including yours truly, may have been misplaced. World security is resting on many problems and the Russian invasion of Ukraine is front and centre for the Europeans and unless a lot of the countries back off the turn to the far right there could longer term issues, but if it all settles down we have a chance at sanity. The Middle Eastern problems will continue ad nauseum as the main faith involved in all things nasty will eat away at any attempt towards stabilization and peace. Although I am a hater of everything Donald Trump perhaps a new approach might help change the dynamics of some of the world issues that have plagued us for decades and need fixing as permanently as it will allow. On the other side of the coin Trump has stated very clearly on many occasions that he will be a dictator on day one of his term and we wait to see how he goes about that set of dynamics. I have finally decided that there is nothing I can do on a personal level to change the world and I feel myself fortunate to have lived my entire life in relative peace and security. The future of the younger generation is firmly in their own hands and they will need to get their priorities bang on or suffer the consequences of allowing the wrong people to control their lives.

I read the other day that the North Korean troops sent to assist Russia in the Ukraine spend their days watching porn movies and drinking vodka by the gallon which I'm sure will cause them either to go blind or get caught up in the meat grinder. Sources claim that the Russians are losing troops by the shed load every day and I hope the North Koreans will suffer the same fate as war games don't even come close to the real thing. Surely someone back in Moscow must be noticing the non-return of family members from what they were told is a special operation because by now the total of dead must be reaching astronomical proportions. The stupidity of one man has put the rest of the world in peril and it's time for the nonsense to be stopped and that will take a lot of humble pie being eaten by someone and it may fall back on Zelensky to cede some, if not all, of Crimea and the Donbas region to Putin knowing that Vlad the dickhead will be back for more at some point in time. Where are the world class diplomats when we need them because that is what is needed to solve this seemingly unsolvable problem? Can Donald Trump step up to be counted or is he just blowing more smoke from his backside offering him an opportunity to cozy up beside Putin to benefit solely himself?

I’m afraid the ‘Putin is dying’ rumour is a myth. He’s not going anywhere soon - and if he really IS terminally ill then that would make him more dangerous. He’d have nothing to lose from pressing the nuclear button.
As for Russian casualties; we’ve seen in past conflicts that the Russians can absorb huge losses of people. They have so many at their disposal that the enemy will run out of bullets before the Russians run out of men.

When you consider all of the conflicts that have arisen since Russia's invasion of Ukraine we must be at the most dangerous time since WW2. Syria has raised it's ugly head again and it looks like the people will have to endure being dictated to be Assad the killer or a new version of Al-Qaeda which doesn't seem like a choice to me but more like Afghanistan being run by the Taliban thugs. The world is going to hell in a handcart and unless someone stands up and be counted we could be under a serious threat of escalation in 2024 and beyond. So many countries are starting to look as if they have made a hard right turn to ramp up the rhetoric and the Trump presidency making it's start in January who knows what he might bring to the table other than trying to jail all political opponents in retribution for the many real cases against himself. He had a top level meeting with Trudeau and his staff a couple of days ago where he joked that Canada should become a U.S. state and you can read into that whatever takes your fancy. I have often wondered why U.S. Presidents pick cabinet members who hold no other political office whereas here and in the U.K. you need to have been elected to serve in those positions? A radical right under Trump could cause mayhem around the globe because he will pander mainly to thugs and idiots to run his government and the only possible saving grace is that during his last term he fired more top staff than any other POTUS in history. The mere thought that he would hire some cabinet members with a brain hasn't happened because he needs a firm hand from anyone to quell his greed and his quest to become a lifetime President/Dictator. The U.S. Constitution is in for a hammering and Trump opponents who have already been targeted for trial should run for the hills along with anyone with abortion on their mind, or indeed any thoughts against anything Trumpish.

We all know the world is in crisis due to the various war torn hotspots around the globe, specifically in the Ukraine and Middle East, but where do the recent events in Syria take us? Assad should have been dragged down many years ago but fear dictated that you kept your mouth shut unless you wanted prison or death to be your future. I applaud the decision to take this monster out of the scenario but I still fear for Syria's, and the world's, overall safety as things surrounding their multi-divided religion is the only certainty you can take from this latest occurrence. Sooner or later one faction or another will demand control of the country and that could take them back from where they came, and that is conflict upon conflict. Only when all of the different factions of the Islamic faith can come together and agree on how to run the country without favour to a specific group will there ever be peace in the near future. The man who appears to be heading up the New Syria evolvement comes from a terrorist background and I wonder if the rest of the sane world would be willing to do business with a well known killer? This has clearly been a body blow to Putin and perhaps if a new Syria is formed and can operate in peace I wonder how Russia's influence in the entire area will be affected and the West needs to make up their minds as to where these recent events takes their support to see Syria tone down it's politics on a non-religious basis? Interesting times ahead and we still have Trump's crowning to mess it all up again with his blustering on about what he can achieve in a single day.
