Invere check out the village .. area is /was 3500 population pre war Currently Russian held ... Putrid just signed an order that conscripts/ homeguard families to get 5m roubles [ WORTH NOT A LOT NOW ... ] if KIA

Meanwhile, Ukraine's armed forces said they killed or wounded 500 Russian troops in another attack on New Year's Eve, on a village in the occupied southern region of Kherson.
There was no independent verification of the attack at Chulakivka, some 20km south of the River Dnipro.

Statement to Russian people from ...
First Deputy Chief of Main Military-Political Directorate of Russian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Sergei Sevryukov

Unfortunately, the number of our fallen comrades turned out to increase up to 89 after clearing the obstruction of the reinforced concrete structures.
The deputy regiment commander lieutenant colonel Bachurin was among the irretrievable personnel losses.
All the victims, and families of the fallen personnel are provided with all the necessary assistance and support.

The launching ramp of the multiple-launch rocket system, used by the AFU to shell Makeyevka, was destroyed.
Moreover, missile and air attacks launched at hardware concentration area near Druzhkovka railway station (Donetsk People's Republic)
resulted in the elimination of other four launching ramps of HIMARS MLRS, four fighting vehicles for RM-70 Vampire MLRS, over 800 rockets for them,
eight motor vehicles, as well as over 200 Ukrainian nationalists, and foreign mercenaries.

In addition, the provisional base of one of the units from the 'Foreign Legion' has been destroyed with over 130 foreign mercenaries.
Circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated by a commission.
But it is already obvious that the main reason, despite the restriction,
was turning on and massive use of mobile phones by the personnel within the range area of enemy firepower.

So already blaming the soldiers themselves, and coming up with a massive list of ordnance destroyed as well as victims,
based on Russia denial system and cover up the 2 Ukrainian figures are likely the number of Russian soldiers killed?

Druzhkovka no mention from Ukraine about this one? but t Chulakivka, is a mention!

An aquaintence has said that at the time 0000 hrs everyone would be on the phone to someone ... every mast would be running at maximum ! whether RUSSIA west [ area closest to europe ] Ukraine or EUROPE ITSELF. The liklihood is that Russian troops are are in an occupied area!!! and Ukranians or anti Russian war people will be in contact with Ukranian forces, supplying details. There was rumoured 2 areas were hit 1 nearer to KHERSON but had no info on that ...
Also stated that Russia says it has destroyed dozens of ordnance and weapons placements ... this is 2 fold ... Russia bigs up the amount of weapons supplied by the west! and is able to "pretend" it has destroyed vast amounts! The population then think the west is the reason for the war by supplying ... but Russia is performing well by destroying vast amounts .....
HIMARS fire their load and within 2 or 3 mins are not there anymore .... on the move! Difficult to attack unless caught stationary!

I watched a 1 hour documentary last night where a reporter was embedded with a Ukrainian group fighting in the retaking of Kherson. It was done some time ago but it highlighted the savvy of the defending troops and how the course of the war was changed in their favour when the HIMARS systems arrived. The use of drones was prevalent in the war by the Ukrainians, but at first they encountered difficulties with the old fashioned mortar type equipment, especially with the accuracy, which was widely in use prior to HIMARS. The one thing that really caught my attention was that so many of these fighters were civilians just a few weeks ago and their integration with the regular army was seamless. For me it highlighted how Ukrainians feel about their country and the personal issues involved, something I can't see being there on the other side, and that's what wins war like these. Rapid movement by the Ukrainians after a six minute timespan was also used whereas the Russians tended to stay put for days with tragic results. Long live Ukraine.

Mike, amongst the links there was a "twitter" one that spoke of the problems around BAKHMUT, the Wagner canon fodder seems to make 2 or 3 infantry advances everyday, but the body count is horrendous as for every attacking force of around 80 only 20 make it back to the point they started from .... ! estimated that over 1000 have been killed mainly non Russian army regulars but plenty convicts!

Putrids latest is a 36 hour ceasefire... for Christmas! the Russian orthodox church celebrates on Jan 7th Putrid wants Christmas eve and Christmas day AS A CELEBRATION!!!.... shame he didnt think along the lines of maybe we shouldnt send 80 kamikaze drones at UKRAINE for their Christmas!

Imagine, 36 hour ceasefire! [ what do think Ruskies will do, regroup but not around the Christmas tree! ...... then at 0000 on 8th he sends over a hundred missiles and drones to attack civilians again ... and to boot, because Ukraine said no ceasefire [ hope they have a couple good strikes ] uses it as disrespectful country not allowing Christmas ... hypocrisy at its height.

there was a bbc reporter stationed Kramatorsk! SO Russia might have egg on its face ...again. In any case any .. [ "Moscow claimed, without providing any evidence, that a "mass missile strike" in the eastern city of Kramatorsk had killed more than 600 Ukrainian forces." ] massive missile strike would have Ukraine stating how many they shot down!
Back to a previous point made regarding numbers from Makiivka Russia stated 89 dead but had sent missiles and wiped out loads of Ukranians and ordnance .. is one to suspect that the number in the hundreds killed is now being reflected by Russia saying 600 .... their people being led down the garden path with tit for tat! but of course no "tit". Russian parents must know the truth, as if they did have phones and phoned home regularly then no phone call or contact would be a giveaway!

loads of activity today and some showing up last night! P8 sub hunters have been around the coast of Blacksea/ baltic/ north sea .. first spots for a while1 So called hypersonic missile been loaded on to a frigate ... no mention of where to though!
Soledar conflicting reports flying around regarding this area Wagner says they have single handedly taken the town and mine accesses and up to 500 bodies " of Ukrainians" strewn around all over it !
Mr Prigozhin repeating the claim on Wednesday evening. In a short statement on Telegram, he boasted that his mercenaries had killed around 500 pro-Ukraine troops. "The whole city is littered with the corpses of Ukrainian soldiers,"

Ukraine denies they have lost total control yet [ but likely to? ] Russia jumps in and states their troops are in command of the operations to capture SOLEDAR! having cut off the north and south approach's ... NO love lost between Wagner and Russian military it seems! tensions between the military and Wagner, and Mr Prigozhin has publicly criticised generals for allegedly being out of touch with the realities of the war in Ukraine.
While it is difficult to know for sure exactly whether infighting is going on in the corridors of power, there are some clues.
Yesterday, news agency Tass reported that Colonel-General Alexander Lapin was appointed as Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces. Russian media quoted sources who claimed that the announcement of Gen Lapin's position - he was one of those slammed by Mr Prigozhin last year - was made as a warning to the oligarch: don't mess with the military.

The "butcher " has been demoted. As suspected when he got put in charge, Surovikin that is , it was likely no other generals would simply just wipe out the civilian population of Ukraine having no respect to rules of war as he had done in other wars in the past.

Gen Gerasimov .... Putrid has removed Russia's top commander in Ukraine, Surovikin three months after he was installed.
Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov has been appointed to lead what Russia calls its "special military operation" against its neighbour.

what an evil attack that was on Dnipro 40 confirmed dead and likely to be over 70 nearest military target was miles away and electric sub station was almost half a mile away... but in middle of concentrated housing complex.

Wagner commander defects to Norway from UKRAINE! ex Russian military was in command of a division and " I was given 30 - 40 troops a week" [ not very helpful on how many men in "his division" as can be from 5000 to 20000 ] He states caught deserters were killed, war crimes committed and human rights abuses many fold. Contracts were not honoured his 4 month contract was about to be extended indefinitely. He fled Ukraine 2 months ago and spent time with a human rights organization in Russia before crossing into Norway. Purported to have war crime and human abuse evidence ... guess that will be names and cases ! Just needs to have something from Russian high command telling him to ignore the rules!!!

Was a cast iron certainty that Ukraine would get a few missiles last night / today/ tomorrow after the announcement that Ukraine is getting at least 50 leopard tanks in the next couple of month's and 14 Challenger's [ announced so far ] also a number of other lesser tanks. Putrid must be throwing his toys out the pram [ well firing off missiles ] in realization his fortnight's jaunt has taken so long so far. Ukraine far from being a passive neighbour without any intention of causing their Russian ill will has been moulded into a heavily armed western backed sovreignty, with at least 50 or more countries donating aid and arms. It has also sacrificed its population of younger members to the sword, maybe as many as 30k been killed and well over a 100k of the future brains of Russia having left the country.
He must really feel pissed off, and being primarily evilly criminallly minded hell bent on revenge. They say never trust anyone with eyes close together, his pictures yesterday showed he is your typical despot false grimaces[ imitating a smile ] and although he should have been showing a face of easiness and remorse, itwas one suppressing tension and anger!
The world waits with baited breath what atrocity his terrorist regime will next inflict rest assurred many many lives are going to be lost .... just hope the tanks arrive in time. And different sources accounts for their being at least 3 anti tank weapons for each probable russian tank that crosses the line ....... heaven help us all if the west starts supplying aircraft!!

The dynamics are changing with the decision across the board to supply tanks unlimited to Ukraine to aid their battle against Russia in a major way. This will no doubt piss off you know who, and for me that's a good thing although I don't believe that anything the West does will stop his murderous ways because compromise and peace are not words in his vocabulary. It's a shame that the tanks won't arrive next week as a possible spring offensive must surely be already planned by Moscow and having the armoury available right now would be way better, but better late than never. It is good to see the new commitment by countries all across Europe especially those bordering Russia because that puts extra pressure on Putin although I don't think it will faze him personally. The addition of aircraft is what could tip the balance in favour of Ukraine even though many think it could escalate the situation. At the start of this mess Putin claimed that the West were out to get him and guess what? - he could be about to get his claim fulfilled in spades. All of this slaughter is down to the ideology of one man backed by nodding dogs too afraid of their own shadows and regrettably things will have to get a lot worse before he gets his comeuppance. By this summer the real meat and potatoes will unfold and it won't be any nicer than it is right now, and unless someone seriously stands up to be counted in negotiations then a protracted conflict will continue. The vast majority of the Russian people have little or no idea of what is being done by their leader in his attempt to recreate the Soviet Union and until such time that it happens he will be allowed to continue his atrocities ad nauseum.

Whether we are prepared to accept it or not we are on the edge of WW3, if not already there, because the enemy of the free world is flexing his muscles and needs to be put firmly in his place by us all. Russia has been creating conflict all across the globe including ex-Soviet states along with Syria, and by supporting rebels right across Africa and possibly elsewhere less conspicuous. Allowing this attempt at total domination has to be stomped on otherwise mayhem will reign strong and we need to face and react to the possibility of increased conflict across Europe in the coming years. For well over a century the Russian bear has always been a monster in sheep's clothing but they don't fool us anymore, but regrettably they are doing a good job at fooling their own population. The lighter days of spring are almost upon us and let's just hope they shine brighter for all of us, but I have serious doubts about that happening. So sad.

The UK supplying Challengers, the US some Abrams and Germany some Leopards - will that really stop the hoards of Russian cannon-fodder being hurled at them?
The Russian ‘tactics’ for want of a better word has been the same for centuries; simply swarm the enemy with superior numbers - the enemy will ultimately be overwhelmed, run out of ammunition, or both.
It’s a crime against the Russian people as well as the Ukraine - I’m amazed he (Putain) has got away with it for so long in his own country.

Russians are becoming an older [ aged ] generation nation! who have been brainwashed to such a degree that they know no better. The younger population are either leaving or being killed. Interesting factoid is Wagner took on 20,000 or so prisoners [ with Russian economy in decline ] MANY HAVE DIED as canon fodder! but the 6 months contracts bullishly offered by Putrids butcher :emoticon-0138-think or was it chef are about to expire !!! rumours abound most that get killed dont get family promise of a pay out ... or wages! Wagner is a bit like WW1 dont do as told and get shot in the back of the head! there is supposed to be 20-30,000 Wagner in NE Ukraine around Soledar ..
BCRW Ukraine have a lot of tanks .. more than 400 but "ex Russian era " T72's and a few captured of the T92's tank Russia has ......

Send in the planes to do the business despite threats from Putrid because he must be desperate by now. Sooner or later there will be troops on the ground and it will be the West versus Russia. On a side note I see that the new Czech Prime Minister is a former top NATO official and that will sew up their commitment to stay with the coalition which has held firm despite Putin stating that they would fold over time. All along Putin has claimed that the West is ganging up on Russia with every intention of invading their soil, and now his prediction could soon come true if he continues with his butchery and fake claims of Ukrainian attacks on civilians and hospitals. Europe is teetering on the edge of the major confrontational abyss and the decisions made in the first half of 2023 by all nations could reshape the continent for the next 100 years.

A documentary I can recommend is the following: Unfit: The psychology of Donald Trump.

Essentially it sums up how autocracy and dictatorships have changed the world map since WW2 saying that about 50% of the continents are in danger of losing democracy and human rights. Well worth the 1.5 hours length.

This thread is dying along with thousands of innocent civilians on both sides in the Ukraine/Russia conflict. The winter has seen some horrible fighting and the spring will soon be arriving on the battlefield which could show Russia's next move on the road to suppression and horror. The massive build up in various areas of the fight tend to show how Russia intends to carry on the destruction of independent Ukraine by using large numbers of troops to do the business without the merest of thoughts as to the death toll on either side. The recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria just goes to show how we need to focus on humanitarian issues rather than war but Putin doesn't see things the same way as regular human beings because he clearly intends to continue the savagery for as long as it takes to stifle democracy. Russia's involvement in other areas of the world should also send a shiver up our backs as we all know it isn't done to help the people of Mali, but rather to further control weak and vulnerable countries throughout the globe. We, as the West, have to look at where we go from here to stop the bullies running certain controlled countries from stamping their will on the unwilling democracies before the tide has turned too far to the right to save freedom.

Communism, 1 person, a party of like minded persons and an idealogy that we give the people something, almost for free, and tell them it is good and we as a party get rich by keeping them poor, and controllig their minds"
I cannot help but remember the film / documentary of the tractor factory! ROWS AND ROWS OF TRACTORS, maybe a mile long, [ each row was about x tractors wide maybe a dozen? ] The new tractor was taken to the current ROW, maybe row 4 or 5? any sold were taken to " dispatch". Lets say row 5 had been started, it was on the previous site of where row 1 was [ is ]. All these new tractor s, [ row 1 had been sold? no gone rusty out of date and been recycled! ] now occupied the space where row one had been! ... But at least the workers had something to do and the "party put a roof over your head for doing it! ]
Putrid is evil re incarnated, as you say ... sort of recycling the population in a way. Estimates that over 30000 criminals have been freed from their prison sentences, and left to rot where they fell on the battlefields so Putrids butcher, sorry chef doesnt have to pay them.
Russian has been a bit less "free" with its missiles of late, maybe saving them for an onslaught prior to his new offensive ... I just hope Ukraine has enough ammo. The himars are well primed with plentiful stocks and not kept in the same place .. apparently they can deliver 200lbs of high explosive through a 6x4 window from 30+plus miles! Ukraine also have a very large network of civilians working as spotters! and a number of outposts that relay their info to various weapons emplacements. Working on GPS they are deadly. Longer range missiles ... well of course need to target the extremes of the Donbas from outside the anticipated Russian occupation. Mariupol as an instance massive military base being/ been built there ... also they [ Ukraine will move back from BAKMUT / Soledar ] but all the gps co ordinates will be on record .. entrances air vents etc to the mines. Every cross road and likely " Russian safe haven "
Certain airforces in Eastern EUROPE have mig planes ... and are getting F16 replacements ordered pre FEB 2022 SO what to do with them .. [Migs] ! ? ....
one thing is going to certain, sadly there is going to be a massive loss of life ..... and maybe when a few 10's of thousands Russian families get the realization " whatever was it for " it will be to late the worlds biggest ever scammer put one over on them all ...........
