More than half of Moldova is without electricity, deputy prime minister Andrei Spinu wrote on Twitter.
"Massive blackout in Moldova after today's Russian attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure," he said.

    ? what now NATO country

Ms Sturgeon said: "We must and we will find another democratic, lawful means for Scottish people to express their will" and accused the UK government of "democracy denial".

Putins sister? ... law says.... NO .... original drawing up of devolvement says NO .... DEMOCRACY voted against it ... Nicola denies all this .. does not accept it and knows better .....

The boundaries are being pushed by Putin and now that Moldova has been affected where do we go from here? It is clear beyond doubt that Russia has no intention of giving up their supposed liberation of Ukraine from the invented Nazi infestation, and the time is fast approaching when the limits will be passed. The biggest question for me is whether NATO/EU have a contingency plan up their sleeves for when the inevitable happens that can stop this nonsense from carrying on for years? The brutality is way beyond anything acceptable and any increase in scope that will affect the rest of Europe and beyond must be of prime concern for peace and stability throughout the rest of the continent. Boots on the ground and planes in the air are what is needed before the conflict gets worse, to send a clear message (finally) that Putin's war and atrocities cannot continue without a massive response from the rest of civilized society. Forward troop movements from all Nato countries that surround Ukraine would make retaliation from Russia extremely difficult due to the vast areas involved made potentially worse by their lack of troops and equipment. We need to prepare for the worse which could be a major confrontation on a massive scale, but inaction could lead to even worse in the longer term. Nobody wants this possible war but regrettably I don't think there are cooler heads in the Kremlin that will listen to reason, and right there is the danger point because I can't see them backing down unless Ukraine is prepared to cede all territories captured by Russia, and I can't see that happening either.

this is all down to SUKOVRIN [ might not be correct spelling ] THE BUTCHER BEAST ONLY GOES AGAINST women / children / CIVILIAN TARGETS. PUTRID put him in charge and since then they have lost vast amounts of territory, hundreds of troops and only suceeded in destroying infra structure civilian hospitals and razing high rise blocks to ground.
twice Moldova has been blacked out / Poland had a missile land also back at beginning a wayward missile landed in another EU country.

Today NATO met to discuss various topics including whether / what is progress of at least 2 new members! ... so a nother barrage of missiles!

The response would be well orchestrated if something serious happened I would guess it would start with Crimea maybe take out the bridge ....totally ... likely would set up camp around Odessa and KIEV ...... Maybe stop the railway to Kaliningrad air defence would be prime action with AWACS at 50,000 feet

I must confess I have given serious thoughts as to what reaction might be tendered in retaliation for what has clearly become a major assault on humanity. The butcher is showing his inhumanity by his actions and the reply must be quick and organized by all those that would take part in what would be an all-out shout for democracy. The whole proposed effort must be well and truly in place before any action is taken and it will be interesting to see the response from the U.S. on the networks over here this evening. They have a lot of military experts on each night discussing the thoughts of the day but this latest action by Russia will surely jangle the chains of command into comments, that although they won't give away the plot, that should at least give some idea of what may happen. War is never kind but the brutality being dished out currently will inevitably lead to further atrocities by Putin's thugs upon a peaceful people that pose no threat whatsoever to Russia or it's population. The scary part is the option that has been put on the table by a much-troubled man who has lost the war in the conventional way and so felt that hiring a murderer to do the job for him, without any consideration for the civilians in the way, would get his head out of the noose that he himself created. Trying to win an unwarranted and unnecessary war by killing women and children, along with the other abuses meted out, comes only from the mind of someone who has to be insane which describes Putin and his mob to a tee. I have gone past the time when I have to worry what might happen but before I leave this once beautiful world, I want to see Putin and all his murderers dangling in the dark.

hands up ... Moldova is not a NATO state .. previously stated it was, they are on the way to being in the EU

Moldova has for the second time summoned the Russian Ambassador, but after the interview with the British equivalent earlier this week, denying through his teeth anything wrong with Russia [ tactics ] hope they had a better response!
Moldova has small compact army + Nato based there as well.
One has to wonder what the "Russian" satellite country/ oblast? Transnistria would do if cut off from any power grids or gas supplies? They are landlocked! joined to UKRAINE separated from Moldova by the Dneipro river .
The population of Transnistria was distributed as follows: Russians – 29.1%, Moldovans – 28.6%, Ukrainians – 22.9%, Bulgarians – 2.4%, Gagauzians – 1.1%, Belarusians – 0.5%, Transnistrian – 0.2%, other nationalities – 1.4%. About 14% of the population did not declare their nationality. Also, for the first time, the population had the option to identify as "Transnistrian". I guess a Russian annexation referendum would state 98% voted to be part of Russian federation! :emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl:

WHILST the population, Moldova, speaks predominately Moldovan 77% , [ Romanian derived as is their flag! ] ] ... 6% speak Ukranian & 11% Russian so really historically are part of Romania although been in and out USSR etc.

Russia's President Vladimir Putin has been meeting with a group of Russian mothers whose sons are fighting in Ukraine.
However, the founder of Russia's Council of Wives and Mothers - Olga Tsukanova - has accused the Kremlin of handpicking attendees and criticised Putin for not inviting her group.
Critics say the mothers who met the president were carefully chosen for the meeting and several of them are members of pro-Kremlin movements.

Putrid is never likely to confront those that are likely to oppose his cowardly action action against fellow humans .... uuuum can I get by calling Putrid human? ... probaly not. But then again he has appointed an evil non human to do his dirty work!!!.. why? ... well should the UN and rest of world say "genocide / war crimes he can say I left it to my generals to sort out and simplysigned paperwork to fulfil there wishes ...like needing more troops because they had killed off a 100,000 or so and crippled as many more. Mind you we replaced them so to speak by stealing their children and getting them adopted by the families that have lost loved ones!!!

All of the states surrounding Russia have high populations of Russian speakers and if Putin was to fix a poll in all of those countries, he could re-form the old Soviet Union. Dangerous times ahead throughout all regions close to Ukraine and when you consider the totally indiscriminate brutality at the hands of Russian troops is it any wonder millions of people fear for their future?

On a slightly different tack I saw a programme the other night where it was claimed that the total lock-down in China is actually all about subjugating the people and they are using the Covid trick to try to bamboozle their citizens. Chinese T.V. refused to show any scenes from the World Cup that showed people not wearing masks in the stadiums in order to hide the fact that the rest of the world is getting on with life. Life under Xi has deteriorated to the point where all citizens will be fully monitored 24 hours a day with most, if not all, human rights taken away and the access to outside news is curtailed completely. Taiwan is seriously on his radar, and I expect China to start some kind of action against them next year unless common sense comes calling, which has a snowball's chance in hell.

Slowly the indiscriminate evil behaviour of the Russian troops is and will be to much for the citizens who are currently brainwashed and will gradually open their eyes. Putrid on the face of it involves people who he pays to do his bidding. The wives and mothers of the killed in action will have been paid with promises and kind for just having the picture taken ... never to pay rent, get a double helping of roubles as a sort of pension ... but what happens when Putrid dies / is killed / overthrown ... will that all be forgotten?

China, as stated previously have a serious Covid problem their "home made vaccine is not that good" or it could be that that their genomes /dna / anti bodies are not as receptive as others in the world. Remember in the early days world wide certain races were less able to fight it .... China in those days only reported a few hundred cases !!! and only a few death's! Now they are worried about the omnicron variant that is rife throughout China... a major outbreak there could be extremely lethal ... most triple vaccinated still get it, and for some it is serious ...

Whilst Russia continue pouring masses of concrete into defences across the DNIPRO it is thought that this might be Putrids "safe face" he can say the war was a success and the Dnipro is the dividing line. Everyday it is "rumoured" Russia shells Kherson and the area to the north from some 30 -40miles away. Ukranian guns have a range of about 45miles [ they are more accurate and have a slightly longer range ] to return fire they would need to be closer to the Dnipro so open themselves to any guns the Russians are keeping closer to the Dnipro. The battle ship that has just sailed through the bosphorus is a cruise missile ship so maybe going to be used in in a barrage soon .
THIS LULL in a barrage is ominous .are the evil RUSKIES waiting for infra structure to be repaired before a massive missile attack is sent to try and destroy it? Hopefully by then the promised air defence systems will have been delivered and set up.

Russia says the West's refusal to recognise "new territories" seized from Ukraine makes peace talks harder, after President Joe Biden indicated he would be ready to meet Vladimir Putin.
The Kremlin said it was open to negotiations, but not on the West's demand to pull out of Ukraine.
Russia illegally annexed four Ukrainian regions at the end of September, without controlling any of them.
Nine months into its invasion, it has lost more than half the land it seized.
WHAT BIT OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE DOES NOT TRANSLATE INTO ENGLISH .. or any other language come to that? I know Gaelic/ Celtic do not have direct translations into English!!! but surely one of the 150 plus countries [ language ] that have voted not to accept / stated they dont accept the legality of the annexations must be able to help out.
Dear Mr Putrid, the vast majority of countries in the world do not accept your evil, heinous barbaric attack on the civilians of a sovereign state, murdering, raping, torturing pillaging and lying through your teeth that you havent done anything! Well the bottom line PUTRID, it is not only that but you have killed thousands of your own young men with your evil plan and caused a massive resentment against your nation that over the days since Stalin has become and was likely to become a major part of the future of our planet. SO TAKE A DEEP BREATH and think long and hard ... "I have totally screwed up my reputation my countries reputation led them back decades by my governments fixation on lying [ and the fact all around you are criminals hell bent on making money from being aligned to your evil government] " Tell your troops to return home, and the evil Wagner group to return any , if any of the convicts they used as canon fodder are alive to the prisons they came from.
    regards

Cease all hostilities and let U.N. peacekeepers come in to address the humanitarian issues such as heat and lighting for all areas involved in the conflict. A lengthy time-out is needed to address all the issues involved but the West must not back down in it's insistence that all Russian troops have to leave Ukrainian territory as existed prior to the takeover of Crimea, or at least a minimum of where the boundaries were before the incursion into the Donbas. Putin will fight all the way against any proposals made by the evil West, who by Putin's warped mind had every intention of invading Russia. The news hitting the streets of any indication of what might be going on in any peace discussions are purely speculation at this point and it makes me wonder what the initial demands on both sides really are. Should the discussions look as if they are going to hit a major blockage by Russia then I think we need to up the ante by stating that troops, of whatever stripe, will enter Ukrainian territory, but with no aggressive intent unless provoked. Sooner or later Putin has to be brought to task because left unchecked the future for Europe looks as if it could get pretty bleak and a response has to be made in an attempt to re-establish order and common sense. Russia must never be given the chance to say they have won this battle as it will only lead to more incursions into ex-Soviet Union space.

I fully understand the implications that could arise with more drastic action from the West but left unchecked for much longer we will be seen as headless chickens by Putin, and that's not a good scenario.

The inclusion of FINLAND SWEDEN MOLDOVA GEORGIA & BOSNIA and since [ and only since ] Russia invaded UKRAINE. must be done ASAP ....
a thought occured just! ... Russia flattening Ukraine makes the usual path into the EU almost impossible in the near future as rules state stability and economy etc etc are mitigating factors plus a standard of living including things like sewage etc [ Croatia in an attemptto gain membership before "an inspection" spent a number of months diveting draiange / sewage contaminated down Cave systems, there is more than 50,000 caves in Croatia! I was privy to view 2 instances in 2011] ...
..... Once Russia gets the to see the additional solidarity of these countries joining up then they know the chips are being stacked....... not just shuffled around. 2 countries stand in the way Turkey and Hugary about 4 others are finalising ....
Ukraine stated they did not wish to / would not join NATO as they said it would inflame Russia WHO SAID THEMSELVES pre invasion it would prefer them not to but could join EU ....... Putrid lying again .........just invaded anyway

interesting couple of events 2 Russian airbases "attacked" around the same time?...!!! false flag again, an excuse to say thats why we missiled UKRAINE civilians again. However the range from Ukraine is greater than any weapons they currently have [ unless Boeing let them have a couple to try out! ] The other side of the coin is it is disgruntled Russian's fed up with war and loss of maybe family fighting in Ukraine! OR Ukranian special forces ??
It would have been thought that AWAC'S and other spy planes would be able to track the in going/ outgoing missiles! I await the likely publishing of the latest maxar / planet labs satelite pics.

Seems eighth wave of missile strikes have taken place Odessa a target again and Zaphoriza ... Putrid or a stunted double is pictured driving across the Kerch Bridge .. pity they didnt know that was happening or maybe could have made an attempt! ... I would expect another attempt on the bridge could be made as it is a lifeline to supply arms and ammo as well as food to Russian bases there . Destry that and then the only supply point is sebastopol the navy base and Ukraine has already managed to hit that a couple times

I had the evil (darn good thing to do) thought about targeting Putin Bridge while he was sightseeing but unfortunately it did not happen. As you say it's time to get the bridge out of the way so Russia cannot use it as a way to bring arms into Crimea again. The final vote on who was responsible for the incursions some 300 km into Russia will be in the "checking on it department" for some time to come but there is no reason why it shouldn't be Ukraine when you look at what Russia has done during it's invasion (oops sorry, special operation). I really want to see Crimea back within Ukraine as it should be but there will be many more lives lost on both sides before that happens. What sites do you visit where you get all this information as I would like to be more aware of the battlefield and it's movements?

On the wider question, She does have a point though, there has to be a way to allow ALL nations to have a democratic way to leave a union if their people want to, or else it’s not a democratic union. I’m not sure a union based on countries being forced to stay in it is sustainable.

Almost see your point, everything in life is governed by one thing, a liitle word rule it defines 2 sides right or wrong [ basically ] laws are part of the "rule" if there was no rules everything would be in total chaos and not just talking about people ... everything science/ nature/ the universe / etc
The scottish people were given the opportunity to hold a referendum on staying and leaving .. they voted for staying. those that dipped out had sour grapes and wanted another one ASAP .... It was granted on the premise of a once in a generation thing. And to be honest where would they be now had it gone the otherway ... would have had to pay into EU but not be a member, would have nothing from EU but had to apply for membership and thus meet all the rules and get the votes to join ... likely years in the making.

so answer is it was and is now democratic

I get they voted to stay in 6 years ago, that was at the behest of David Cameron, and I’m not suggesting they are due another one yet, as you rightly said it was supposed to be a once in a generation thing. I also get there needs to be rules, that’s my point, there are no rules whereby they get a chance for another EVER, unless the UK government decides they’ll allow it, that can’t be right surely?

Vladimir Putin has vowed to continue attacking Ukraine's energy infrastructure despite millions being left without electricity or water.
"Yes, we do that. But who started it?" the Russian president said at an awards ceremony in the Kremlin.
He said that criticism of Russian strikes would "not interfere with our combat missions".
Moscow has been battering Ukraine's power grid since 10 October, following a string of heavy military defeats.

He said the strikes were in response to a blast on the Russian bridge to annexed Crimea on 8 October. He also accused Ukraine blowing up power lines from the Kursk nuclear power plant and of cutting water supply to Donetsk in eastern Ukraine.
"Not supplying water to a city of more than a million people is an act of genocide," Mr Putin said, accusing the West of "complete silence" on these claims and of bias against Russia.

Well it seems Putrid has come out with some pretty defining comments over the past 2 weeks Reason for trying to kill off the population of UKRAINE by destroying their power grids and generating facilities ... because they stated [ Russia] STATED that the bridge was blown up by a rogue russian and accomplices with the possibility a UKRANIAN MIGHT HAVE BEEN INVOLVED! ... bit like the lady in the super high speed mini with her daughter who killed the pro Russians daughter!
Now so called driven across the Kerch bridge and declared the sea of Azoz is now an inland sea of Russia!
ACCUSES Ukraine cutting off water to Donetsk .. well it was well ensconced within Russian area at time ......
Kursk power lines! well thats 150km inside Russia .....

I think Ukraine has little to lose they have 8 - 10 weeks of cold weather to get through ... go blow up the bridge hit Sebastopol naval yard ...
As for Bakmut where Wagner seems to be the enemy ... Russia does not actually seem to have much control around it .... but is just 50 miles away from Luhansk

As for bigging up the nuclear scenario he did say one thing wrong ... We are not mad! .... Putrid pull the other one ........
