Bolton played very well. They were up for the game. They played much better than Newcastle did against us by a long way. However, we were at fault, in my opinion, for all of the goals and there was no desire, no work rate, no skill. Nothing but utter trash and Pulis has rated it as one of the worst performances of either of his 2 spells with us. I reckon the Notts Forest 6-0 defeat in February 2003 might be the only one worse in Pulis' eyes I reckon.

I haven't the first idea what's happening with Palacios. He is (as you say) better than any of our midfielders by a metric mile, but something about his fitness must irk Pulis. However a 75% fit Palacios is still a 100 times better than a fully fit Delap or Whelan. Palacios and Whitehead in the centre of the park, along with Huth and Shawcross at centre half and our spine will look solid as a rock and we will stop shedding goals that have become a regular occurrence since Floodgate arrived.

We do have a good squad. Pity our manager cannot see that or utilise the players properly or play to their strengths, *cough* Crouch *cough*.

He's not really said much on him for a while. I wish he'd just start him. Having someone of his quality stuck on the bench is suicidal.

My point re Palacios was this..
When he first arrived T.P. did say Wilson needs to get fit sure he did but..
WHY would you put a very good player, compared to the one's we currently see every week, on the subs bench?
IF he's fit for the bench, surly he could start a few games? The Europa games he has started and done very well. What really anoys me personally is this.
It's so bloody obvious that Wilson P is "Quality on the ball" as was Tuncay and we ALL know what happended there<whistle>

He does play for the odd 20/30 mins yes, but for me Delap is knackered after an hour at best. He's too old, too slow and IF Pulis can't see it, we're basically up **** creek.
