Kenny will always play his boys Carroll and Hendo in big matches. Maybe he wants to justify their signing. And he will later pull Suarez out even when we need to keep the ball in the opponents half! He has effectively shut out the players who got him retained. Hope we the fans will not suffer the consequences (I bled against Spurs and had paralysis 2nd half against Wolves).

Just happy that we are not discussing whether poulsen, konchesky or jovanovich will start - not long ago this would have been up for discussion

I hope his "first teamers" will do it for him in January after the 1st half. Because if he stick to his first teamers then his job will be on the line by next summer. Mark my words.

There has to be a school of thought that including Adam for the derby game is a risk with his tendency to leap into challenges. I mean, enthusiasm is one thing, but Charlie's challenges often have 'Striker coming throught!!!" written all over them. I sometimes think he's simply trying to intimidate whoever he's going into a challenge with.

I can see an argument for including Gerrard, at least for the opening hour if he's fit enough. If he lasts that hour, we should have drawn the sting from the rash opening challenges, and then we can think about introducing either Spearing, Henderson or Maxi, dependent on how things are going. If Steve isn't fit enough to last an hour, he shouldn't even be on the bench.

I'd like to see a midfield three of Gerrard, Lucas and Adam (if he can just reign in his 'enthusiasm'), with Suarez, Bellamy and Kuyt up top. Back line I'd go for Enrique, Carra, Skrtel and Kelly. Having Carroll, Maxi, Downing, Henderson, Spearing, Coates and Doni on the bench.

I'm tempted to look at Wilson and Coates in the CB positions, but perhaps this isn't the game for that experiment.
