Northam is ****. Half the ****ers turn up just on kickoff, walk up the steps like an small army of Danny Dyers/Gibbons. Gurn at the away fans (who mostly laugh at this most empty of empty threats). Then piss off to the concourse 5 minutes before half time and reappear about the same time into the 2nd half. More gurning, some songs about the skates, then leave early to make sure they get home for Strictly come Gurning or the like.
Indeed, and they often have to turn the effects mics down, in order for the commentators to be properly heard.
Ha, not far wrong with some of the people there. Been in there a few times but got fed up with the amount of stupid behaviour and comments, especially from those who seem to think they are recognised throughout the fanbase and should therefore shout and ram their opinions down everyones throat at any opportunity. So I moved to Kingsland North, much better.
Well at least they are happy and cheerful, and enjoying what they do, try it one day you may get to like it and be cheerful too.
I am very vocal at a match shouting out encouragement and giving the ref an ear bashing when needed. I am also out of my seat and cheering like mad when we have scored. I do clap and I enjoy a bit of banter with fans around me even the Guly haters who have toned down their criticism a bit lately. The very lovely Mrs Godders is always telling me to calm down as it doesn't do my blood pressure any good and I think she gets a bit anxious about me.. I don't sing because my singing it is just too awful for words. What I don't do is "stand up if you love the saints" just because some half pissed adolescent thinks I should. I like to watch the game and individual players and to get a feel for the shape and pattern of the game. I don't go to out do the opposition fans and for many away games I actually sit with friends who are home fans who have got me tickets. I love my football, I love my team and I like a tiple or two. We all support and follow our team in the way that suits us.
