For sheer 'I couldn't give a f*ck about you lot' it has to be Bosingwa, I don't think I've ever witnessed a 'professional international footballer' show such total contempt for both his teammates and the fans of a club. The only saving grace was that there was a club prepared to take him off us. For overall length of time at the club and what he has produced for the club since we've been in the PL it has to be Taarabt, truly outrageous talent outrageously wasted...
No, he is not. We may bag him ................ I know I certainly do but at least he tried ( so to speak ) have a go. Adel, with his pathetic attitude must go down as the worst signing. Especially after we upgraded his contract. He had the talent but refused point blank to have a dig for us. A more genuine bludger / quitter, you will never find. Poor little SWP couldn't even change a car tyre so we can't be too critical can we.
George Santos anyone?! SWP is the worst value for money by a country mile but we've had some pretty dire players over the years.
It's a testament to his sheer forgettability that it's taken until post 24 for anyone to mention Keiron Dyer...
Ignoring the fact that we (possibly) got our money back on the £12.5m transfer fee, Chris Samba - 7 months, 10 games, never fit, lost us the game away to Fulham single handedly. All for £100k a week, that's £2.8m in total.
If we had not by some divine miracle not recouped our fee we paid for him, surely Chris Samba has to be in with a shout? SWP, Boswinga and..............Brett Angell/Mark Nygaard/Bob Malcolm
Boswanker and Tubby take some beating, no they should take a beating. SWP has actually (probably) tried his best. But, imo, it has to be Tubby.
As a player Rio. Park was the next worse but he wasn't so clearly past it before he joined us as Rio. Rio clearly had injury problems and had lost speed for at least 2 years before Harry somehow persuaded the Board he was worth buying. Rio may give us something from the sidelines though. Adel shouldn't be on the list. He more than earned his fee the season we got promoted, and in the one after.
Caulker has been absolutely shocking, for what we paid for him,i can't think of another defender apart from Samba who's been as poor as him!
Boswanker hands down for me, which is saying somthing considering some of the aforementioned. His attitude was disgusting and he didn't give as much as a single **** whilst playing for us. At least most of the rest tried at some point, most just simply weren't that good and can't be blamed that the club bought and paid whatever they did. SWP is up there though, the one thing above anything else that I will never forgive him for was not going on loan when given the chance, considering he wasn't getting close to the first team, if he really wanted to show us he was good enough, play out of your skin on loan! You would have been recalled soon enough and it's not as though he would have been on less money!
There are a few that are right up there, all of which have already been mentioned. Marc Nygaard [apart from that goal at Leicester], Bosingwa, George Santos, Esteban Granero, Sandro, Ji Sun Park.......... But the one that really goes straight up my nostrils is SWP!
Such a wide selection of useless hateful journeymen. Any one of us would struggle to find a worse bunch than some of the 5hithouses that have been on our payroll during the last 4 years.
If we are ripping and IMO we can it's over then TF's buying of Park has to be up there Bosingwa never having that he was brilliant in some games he was possibly the best player we signed But the least caring hence the hatred The boy could play SWP has to be up there But Sandro now looks poor as does Fer IMO Zarate? Mutch Caulker All were poor very poor in fact losers Nico shouldn't of been signed CR signed no one a fact that many completely forget As it sinks in they are all ****e
Taarabt, despite the trouble, cannot be in there for me. Wasted his talent, yes, but also shown so much class in the title winning season. His performance vs Swansea is the best that I can remember from on of our players from recent years. Bosingwa was horrible to have around, and his poisonous attitude will never be forgotten. However, he was a free transfer. The funny thing with Bosingwa is, if his free kick vs Villa had gone in, then we would've probably survived that year and he could've been the hero. Sandro I believe was only £6m. He's produced some decent displays this season. Coupled with the fact that he's still reasonably young and a big enough name, we could probably recoup a good deal of our money back (provided that he doesn't get deported). Mutch? Hardly given a chance and we still most of our money back. Has to be SWP for me.
One thing that will become clear It won't matter We are still here Some hated SWP Taarabt Bosingwa Some liked them We are still here the heart of the club
I quite liked him. There was another goal he scored at home in the dying minutes that saved the day. Someone will remember.
Not having that one Chaz, Dyer was always good when he played and conducted himself well around the club. Injured after 3 mins of his first game recovered and was injured in a reserve game - requiring surgery. Always worked on his fitness and he scored us a very rare FA cup goal when finally made it back to full fitness. For all his effort he signed for Middlesbrough played 9 nine, scored 2 and even lasted a full 90mins for the first time in 4 years. Released at the end of the season. We'd kill for a player that could score 2 in 9 games Chaz.
