I can't see why Rafa would want to get involved involved in a relegation battle when there must be innumerable teams around Europe on or in the running for CL or EL spots.

'Arry I could see as it fits into his current life - that's why he didn't fancy Newcastle; but I can't see the attraction for Benitez.

Sorry to but in, but I would just add a word of warning when it comes to Harry. He didn't keep us up.

He joined us at the start of December - from memory, 16 games into the season. We had two wins to our name, and we're either 17th, 18th or 19th in the table (I swear we weren't bottom).

The squad might not have been sensational granted, but it still included the likes of Niemi, Lundekvam, Beattie, Crouch, Kevin Phillips, Le Saux, Anders Svensson, Delap, Oakley, Kenwyne Jones, Prutton and, if he'd wanted to use them, Walcott and Bale in the youth team (both of whom made their debuts the following season). It was basically the team which Strachan had left in 4th place in the Premiership, almost 12 months earlier to the day.

Amongst others, Harry added Quashie and Henri Camara in the January transfer window. Pahars and Michael Svensson were also in the squad, albeit both injured for the whole season.

So, potentially, be careful what you wish for. That said though, he'd be a darn sight better option than Mark Hughes.
