Is O'Shea nailed on to be our next manager or what?

Stu'th - totally gobsmacked at some of these responses to my views on Watmore zzxxz are bewildering - it's good listening to tonight's " beat surrender" on radio dark side :emoticon-0159-music:emoticon-0159-music

No offence intened it's just my opinion on Watmore and these unlikely things happen with Sunderland :emoticon-0148-yes:
    Leaving it now.

I think that we all like Dunc as much as you do. He's a great lad and a good player.

If he continues to develop there's a chance that he could be good enough for if not the top sides the ones below them, but if you compare him to Willian say then they're in different leagues. Literally.

He is his own man with the world at his feet but I don't think he'll fulfill his potemtial at Sunderland
I wouldn't compare him to anyone as I think his talent is unique and he is surprisingly strong on the ball. remember when we played Stoke at H 2 seasons ago and their fullback Peters was shielding the ball from DW but he was brushed aside and appealed to the ref for a free kick - no chance outmuscled - watmore to say.
I think his talent will be destroyed in the physical championship by injuries but I would'nt want us to sell him cheaply - but I fear we will .

He reminds me of Marco Gabbiadini without the thighs or finishing

More like one of the Scouse prem clubs -they need his direct play and will improve him just like Henderson a n d he has a similar solid mindset.
Great times ahead for him imo :emoticon-0148-yes:

Have you seen Liverpool's front three? That's madness. He wouldn't get anywhere near that side.

He's a young English talent and they have injuries and Europe to cope with, but I was thinking more Everton and with J P in goal could be a good fit.
Essentially I don't want to sell him.

He's done absolutely nothing to suggest that he can do it at that level even as a 5th/6th choice.

They've got teens who are full internationals who can't get in the team.

Might need to temper your expectations. He's got a **** load of work to do on his first touch, final product and footballing brain before he's anywhere near premier league status.

I know he's not the finished product but he's not had that much experience at the top level. I just feel he brings pace and direct running which defenders hate and has an eye for a goal. At Everton JPs excellent distribution will be ideal for players like Watmore imo.
But Koeman looks to be under pressure now and if it continues Benitez to replace him ?? - I wander <doh>

    <laugh>. Yet he'll make a top team?

I think learning Korean with Braille would be easier than understanding your posts at time.

Don't know about that. He was one of the very few players we had who were premier league standard, he does lack some quality on the ball but he makes up for it. I can look at the prem table and see easy half a dozen sides he'd get a game for.

Probably. Just the hype by some is bonkers.

    Give him time.

I think he's prem standard now, put him in a high functioning side who will use him well and play to his strengths and he'll deliver. James McClean regularly gets games for West Brom and he's nowt special.

He'll never be top side material because as you say he doesn't have the technique or the brain for it but he's definitely prem standard for me.

You disagree with me - so do you not rate him for his past achievements and his future potential ?
