I already have googled it Stu, the results that come back are mostly relating to Paul Ince, if you can't prove it I'm afraid your word isn't worth anything.

Tell you who is special, Moyes... there's a very elite group of people who have it in them to do what he has achieved at The SOL. <ok>

It depends if you improve this season and if so how much. The table isn't looking good and you may be out of Europe. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Mourinho on his way out in a years time if he can't significantly improve things.

I'm not so sure about that Nacho. Yes, they've dumped the last 2 managers but I just don't see it this season.

It's like with our bunch, the one consistency through all of the managers has been the squad. There have been too many players at Utd over the last few seasons, that are just not good enough to wear the shirt.

The likes of Pogba and Ibrahamovitch must watch some of the play around them at times and think WTF!

I think Mourinho, who for me has only ever been special in his own head, will be given an open cheque book for new players and an open door to kick out a lot of average players in the next 18 to 24 months.

I think he's realised how poor the squad still is, yeah, when we're on our game we'll play good stuff but it's so fragile.

Our back four consists of Darmian who's barely played, Blind who's not a centre half, Rojo who's got no pace and is a lunatic and Luke Shaw who, well I rate him a lot. Smalling, Bailly and Valencia all out injured.

Then in front we've got two players he doesn't fancy, in Schneiderlin and Bastian, So he plays Herrera and Pogba in there, or Carrick when we have the luxury of him not being crippled. It's just too chop and change to get into any sort of rhythm or form.

Yeah, he'll probably get the chequebook out to fix it, or maybe he'll trust the likes of Fosu Mensah to step up, if needs be, but like you say he'll dump a fair few of them too.

Basti will be gone in January, he'll get rid of Memphis, Rojo, Blind, Schneiderlin, possibly Mkhitaryan, possibly Rooney, Carrick will need replaced... it's wholesale changes and a big project, it was a fairytale hoping for Zlatan and Pogba to deliver success on their own, that's the fans fault and maybe Mourinho is guilty of setting his bar too high when he arrived.

I'm not saying that I expect him to be sacked, more that I don't see how you could be certain he wouldn't. There are barely any certainties in football and United are in no way immune to the chopping and changing of managers that everyone else has to put up with.

It depends how he does in the rest of the season, if he does ok they'll most likely keep him and pass him the chequebook. If they end up winning nothing and finish eighth I wouldn't be surprised if he went, it would be unacceptable for a club that size.

The only reason LVG wasn't allowed to see out his last year is because Mourinho gave us a 'now or never' ultimatum, Woodward wanted to keep LVG on board, especially because he'd done a great job of bringing through some top youth players. The fact is we missed out on so many top managers, from Ancelotti to Klopp to Pep (even though I didn't want Pep)... we'd have had a very small pool to dip into at the end of this season under Van Gaal, so our hand was forced if we wanted to make a statement of intent for our future.

We'll be the richest club in the world breaking every financial record next year, that's without CL football, if we get top 4 the rest will be blown away, that's the Glazer's priority, sadly. Moyes had to go, he was destroying the club, LVG had a year left and our hand was forced, he'd still be here today if Jose didn't get fired from Chelsea.

Ultimately though you've had underperforming managers and have sacked them as a result, if Van Gaal had done well he'd still be there. It could be the same with Mourinho if you have a bad season and someone else comes along with another now or never.

Not really mate, Van Gaal wasn't getting sacked for underperforming. He'd met his objective so he had to be paid off, so I don't see how it was 'under performing'. The guy wasn't getting us excited, but he'd have been kept on. You'd have sacked Allardyce with a year left on his contract if Klopp come and said he wanted to manage Sunderland and it was 'now or never'.

Moyes got sacked for being an incredibly inept manager, he wasn't just under performing, his mere presence at the club was cancerous and the club was suffering badly on the NYSE. You think Mourinho is expensive at £15m per season, Moyes cost us £400m in a year.

Van Gaal wasn't expected to progress through the Champions League group stage or finish better than fifth? I thought expectations would be higher. I'm sure that if you'd won the treble you wouldn't have been shopping around for Mourinho.

I'm sure we'd hoped for more than that, but I'm thinking his trophy (FA Cup) win, got him off the hook. I don't see why else he would fail to meet his objectives yet still need to be paid off to the tune of £8m.

Winning the treble then firing the manager for one better? Who knows, didn't Bayern do that with Heynkes because he was retiring... like Van Gaal said this would be his last job. The opportunity was there to hire a man big enough to manage this club, and they took it. I'd hang everything I've got on LVG not getting fired if there was nobody available to replace him, of Mourinho's calibre.

Your outlook is so far removed from the normal because its totally based on money is it not,the players you predict that will be disposed of is a typical example ,most clubs will find those players out of reach to buy and pay daft wages ,then comes the replacements for those who will have gone ,we can assume another obscene amount will be spent for sure , he is not special at all, your club is because of of its wealth .

Out of curiosity Stu and I think I already know the answer, where do think Man Utd should spend their money if not on developing the team?

I assume you think we should be spending it flipping managers like burgers and sending the rest to poor old non-league clubs.

Just talk footy Tel ,no need to start because my views differ from yours, now then leaving other comments out of this ,how much is too much in your opinion or do you not care as long as you are champions ,what if he assembles a side which breaks all spending records that wins the title but is dour to watch , many football fans of my age group feel that the money in the game has ruined it,i think Leicester had most football fans willing them to win ,why was that ? i wonder.
Yes you can buy the most expensive players in the world but it will not assure you have the best team ,thats why utd will be unable to stop the constant spending on players and managers,it also hinders the introduction of the youth coming through ,perhaps you cannot win anything with kids again .

It'll go up Stu, the more we earn the more we will spend. I suppose Sunderland's blueprint is far better? Getting into unmanageable debt and flipping managers every 15 games?

Your spending is reckless mate, ours is well within our means and Unless you've been under a rock for 12 months we've also developed one of the brightest young English talents in this league and there's plenty more where they come from you can take my word on that. Look at this league it is littered with our youth product... Who've you developed? ****ing nobody.

I cannot defend what SAFC does in terms of a comparison here with MUFC its not possible the gap is too wide i am aware of that ,yes you will continue to spend until the title has been purchased and the supporters will be appeased and will be able to rejoice once again without a care about cost, the ultimate cost to the game itself is far greater i fear,in terms of players who were considered not good enough by Utd being littered around ,who if anybody would you resign who came through the system ?.

Off the top of my head, Tom Heaton, Ryan Shawcross, Michael Keane, Danny Drinkwater, Gerard Pique if we can count him. I think they'd all add something to our squad.

There's a kid called Angel Gomez in our youth now who's wanted by every top team in the world, 15 years old English lad with the world at his feet.

Obviously we have to buy players, City didn't produce their own, Chelsea didn't, Arsenal didn't, Leicester didn't. We're the only club to have won this league with a core of our own players.

I don't care if Mourinho isn't special Stu, you are clearly obsessing over that word. Good for you if you love the old jocks, times change pal, get used to it.
