Or it could go the other way. Now they're supposedly back in the title race, the pressure might get to them. All the eyes will be on them tomorrow lunchtime and they know it!

Now that the distractions of Balioteli have been nullified and Tevez seems to be eager to impress I think it could well be the 'wrong' time to be playing Man City. The quality they have at their disposal will prove too much and I predict a comfortable 3 or 4 nil.

Can't for the life of me understand how anyone can take offence at Mancinis interview,I thought it was humble and considerate of the opposition

or that is what you would like the result to be...
unlikely - we've only lost at home by 2 goals maximum to the big 6 teams, and we are playing well. even lawro has predicted only 2-1 and he hates us

As far as I can see nobody has, apart from the OP. To me, the interesting thing about what Mancini said is what it says about Man City, namely that they are the sort of team that gets themselves up for "big" games, then fail to turn up for games they are expected to win. The sign of a mentally strong team is that they win the games against lowlier opposition. You don't win championships with a David v Goliath, "we are the underdog", mentality. Arsenal have been the prime example in recent years. Wenger is constantly talking up his team's mental strength only to have his words disproved in the next match. I'd say also that one of the reasons why Man U have stuttered this season is that even their self-belief has faltered.

So my interpretation of what Mancini said is that he is asking his team "Do you have the mental strength needed to fight Man U to the very end?"

I agree that the only person that was bothered to some degree was the OP. However, how the **** his words are humble is beyond me. Unless I no longer understand the english language, i thought humble was not being arrogant or proud.

So far it's because the "smaller" teams have wanted it more and got right in their faces. Some of our so called big players have simply gone missing and not fancied it.Thats the top and bottom of it.
In many ways we are suffering from having such a good start as at the start of the season we were hoping to improve enough to challenge utd,the ultra defensive approach of the previous season obviously needed changing but we got off to such a flier expectations, more in the media to be fair, rose and with it the pressure we've not seen before as a club.
On to tomorrow, with utd giving us a lifeline in midweek I only hope we can play similarly to how we approached the WBA game and really take the game to Norwich as the slow patient away tactics have failed miserably
Couldn't get a train to get me there tomorrow so having to drive,is there easy parking around the ground?

Actually I couldn't care less how his words are interpreted and the words appeared on toilet paper. All I really care about is that we are fired up for the match and give a better account of ourselves than we did at the advertising stadium for etihad airways

That first sentence is interesting.Have a guess at who will be the player getting in your faces. This game is tailor made for a typical barnstorming performance.

Hate to say it but I'm with the Ipswich fans here. I'm just enjoying the entire experience, we look all but safe now and we can look forward to strenghtening further in the Summer. I think Howson and R. Bennett will be huge for us next season and I really hope we renew Ward's and Fox's contracts in the Summer as I think they are important players for us - both on and off the field. We have a great team spirit and I don't want to see many changes that will disrupt that as I feel it will do more harm than good.
