I think Kenny is the right man for the job he´s rebuilding but he is not immune from critisism, Andy Carroll needs to be offloaded asap..its not working, it never has worked and it doesnt look like it will ever work ! kenny brought him on for Downing yesterday if he wanted to get the best out of him he´d keep downing on for Carroll surely, I doubt carroll was Kenny´s signing as Kenny was originally a stop gap in the minds of the new owners & i doubt theyd give 35m to a stop gap manager, admirable that Kenny sticks up for him though. Adam however is definatley a Kenny signing & is obviously not good enough, he doesnt offer anything better than shelvey or spearing so i dont see the point on him, waste of money. But we could recoup the same fee we paid for him if we decided to sell (which i think we should do) in the summer. Hendo i´m willing to give time, you can see he does have quality and he doesnt lose the ball often. Downing will turn out to be a great squad player i reckon, Needs to get some confidance as he doesnt even attempt to beat the last man. Anyway we wont recoup the cash we spent so we should stop moaning about him and see how he develops. Fact remains he´s not the signing we expected, looks like we´ll have to dip into the transfer market to pick up someone who WILL beat the last man & has bags of confidance. Sad thing is we had a better team end of last season & have spent all this money to regress ! i look at us tearing fulham apart at the end of last season & have to rub my eyes when i see Charlie Adam trying to dribble through 3 players like he´s ronaldinho. 3 1st team players & 1 squad player is all we need to compete for the title i belive, get rid of joe cole, kuyt, carroll. adam & the rest of the hangers on were still paying for & we wouldnt have to spend a fortune. In my opinion we need a top quality right winger along the lines of Robben or krasic, pacey skillful and eager to skin full backs & at the same time finally put Dirk kuyt out to pasture. A fox in the box who has pace and can play on the shoulder a Demba Ba/ Loic Remy type character as well as a back up prepared to play off the bench someone like Hugo Rodallega aswell as an attackking centre mid, van de vaart & cabaye are alot better than charlie adam & cheaper, ive seen diego´s name pop up a few times & love how he plays. All in all were not doing a bad job but for a few of the personel could be doing a hell of alot better.
