Face to face mine, and we were warned beforehand. I thought they were fishing for someone to disrupt it, as the copper stated that stopping distances are the same in modern cars as ones from years ago. I was tempted but left it. :emoticon-0138-think

It was a few years ago but that was sort of thing the person was questioning.

I did a speed awareness course when they first came out, it was all about teaching us how to not get caught speeding.

When he told us that if a car travelling at 40 mph hits a pedestrian they were dead, I checked my pulse. According to the skid marks I was hit by one travelling at 46 mph! :emoticon-0138-think

So are we not allowed to question the braking distance?

You can ask anything you like, but if you fanny about and waste time, then you're out.

Though I don't think this is new, they used to warn you in the face to face ones, that you'd be sent out if you were disruptive.

What? So they actually checked your underpants to determine the speed of the vehicle?

Some clever bastards in the Traffic Police down your way!!

According to the road traffic expert my barrister engaged not clever enough, they measured incorrectly and he said 46 mph was an underestimation. Both arms in plaster and both legs in traction for months, so any skid marks were taken care of by a nurse. :emoticon-0138-think

I actually enjoyed it the first time. Learnt some bits and saved getting the points. There is always one dingbat in the group who likes to question everything and answer all the time so you can just sit back and let him swallow up the time on your behalf ha ha

Having started this thread, I took the plunge and binned KCom for a deal with Beebu for twice the speed (they guarantee, unlike KCom) at half the price. Installation was due yesterday. I thought it odd I had no confirmation (though did receive a router in the post!) and guess what, no one turned up. I rang them and he claimed it was showing MS3 hadn’t accepted the order. MS3 have now given me a new installation date, I have said to Beebu not impressed, and have to consider whether I want to remain with them. I haven’t even had a sniff of an apology, they just blamed MS3.
Tbh, not sure I can be bothered to look for another company.

I had an issue with my network recently, so used the phone wifi data for a bit, and I was impressed at how fast the connection was. More than enough to run the TV and streams at the same time in different parts of the house.

To save the phone battery, I tried the SIM in a mobile hotspot I got free years ago. It's about as basic as they come, and it was plenty good enough to do the same, so a more up to date hotspot would presumably be even better.

There's some reasonable 4/5g sim deals at the minute, so you can have wifi where ever you are, including decent roaming allowances within the EU.

Some of the 'unlimited' deals throttle the signal once you reach a certain level, which can be 80gb, but others claim not to, or have generous allowances.

It's probably something everyone else knows, but a lot of SMART tv's throttle the signal anyway, so a faster wifi doesn't necessarily gain anything depending what you're using it for.

    Just food for thought.

Ring MS3 and tell them that you want to switch to Hull Fibre and due to the bad service from beebu you except it to be a quick installation. That's exactly what I did and they were great. A lad called Jack at ms3 sold me beebu and then when he realised i was the same person (easy to remember by name if you're a football fan as its the same as a famous player) he immediately said to me he would monitor it as he felt bad with jow I had been treat. Good to his word he called me back the next morning and told me hull fibre were coming to install 3 days later.

Beebu had the excuse that they needed a tree surgeon to be able to access my house from the pole but like with you I got no cancellation notice and took a day off to sit at home for them.
