really? I thought it was that Mark Noble is the best penalty taker currently in the premier, and that Le Tissier was the best in it's history. but I guess whiners gonna whine, and you lot are becoming more like Liverpool every day.
Noble hasn't been tested at international or full European level, though. A substantial part of his record is from the Championship, too. Probably not worth considering him.

7 of his 36 successful penalties were in the Championship. That's nearly 20% of them. It's substantial. If you're going to talk about international players not being up to standard, then you'll have to eliminate a number of Noble's, too.

@Big Ern you aren’t seriously trying to suggest that Noble is a better penalty taker than Kane? I don’t care what stats you pull out of the hat, the two aren’t comparable.
I'm not Noble's greatest fan, in fact I can't stand the ratty little **** but it stands to reason that as a fan you would prefer a more reliable pen taker stepping up to the spot. You don't get any extra points for style.
