    Indeed!

Moses is off to a flyer and no doubt we'll see whether Lukaku is at the weekend - he at least has something to prove, if you believe newspaper reports about Everton being a stepping stone.

Not writing him off... reckon he will win the league next season...

... after £200 million invested on all the current best players in fm2014.

What I don't understand is that he's seemingly going against his tried & tested methods at present.

He's always had a leaning towards tall athletic, powerful strikers & midfield players - yet he's signed Willian, to add to the collection of midget gems he's already got. Schurrle is pure ****e.

He lets a lad who fits his usual striker choice to a tee & who scored 17 league goals in an average league side last season, go out on loan, whilst keeping Demba Ba?

He's kept Chelsea's best player from last season - benched.....

It's all a tad bizarre tbh, but I'm sure he'll still get it right, as the man is an enigma.

You're as baffled as me then!!

Anyone other than Jose and we'd be asking serious questions by now!!

Schurrle comment a bit harsh, he was mustard in Germany last season and anyone who gets in the Germany side must be alright.

  10. He did very well to win the CL with Porto and that is a superb achievement on his CV. However, they are also one of the wealthiest clubs in Portugal and he was able to buy the cream of their talent as well as a few others from around the globe. They were far from the best team in Europe when they won it but then, neither were Liverpool or indeed, Chelsea when they won it in recent times!

I was taking the piss by adding a pound to the current world record. However, if they offered that then we should obviously take it too.

He also won it with Inter who hadn't come close for years - despite selling their best player. Don't think his record can be dismissed so easilly as just buying all the best players.

  16. Very much what Bluff said! Mourinho also bought Pandev, Sneijder, Lucio, Milito, Motta, Mariga and Viviano that summer! Inlcuding Eto'o who was valued at just 17.6m, that was a grant total outlay of 86m euros!

I would love to see the return FC porto has received since about 2002-now in terms of what the bought and sold and how much profit they have gained. From everything from coaches to players as well.

  19. They would have made a lot IMO. Players like Calvalho, Hulk and Falcoa were sold for a mint. Unless they were all third party owned of course

    Wow.

Some of those players like Cissokho and Falcao were bought for something like 300,000-1 mil.
