Like we didn't under Jose in the past?
I hope we continue to play as defensively as we did against Liverpool recently.
It's a myth by people that we're defensive under Jose. he plays each opponent in the best way to beat them. Against Liverpool & Southampton twice it was by attacking them, against United it was with power and patience. You haven't got a clue and are beginning to sound desperate tbh.

Why would Abromovich bring Jose back in if he didn't like his style of play? He's back because Abramovich wants trophies and knows Jose is the way to get them.

Flair and style comes with the foundation of a solid team first, or spending a zillion poinds like Man City have. Abramovich is rich, but is council estate compared to Man City's owners and the amount they have spent.

Aside from the cagey away games to Man U and Arsenal, I think Chelsea have been playing attacking football, just our strikers are ****e up to now and haven't been able to score.

The Jose plays boring football is wheeled out by people who are lazy. He plays winning football and sometimes it will be more attacking,Liverpool/Southampton and others times more power like Man Utd.

Why does me telling you that I don't care, mean that I care? If I cared I'd be trying to defend Chelsea. I know we play **** football, but it's also winning football.

Sorry, I was mistaking you for a fan that had sampled the Osgood and Hudson years, survived the Droy,Rugvie,Hay, Edinburgh years and was rewarded with the steady arrival of trophies and that now would aspire for trophies and to be inspirered by magnificent talent like Oscar, Hazard and Matas together. Sorry, I wont converse with you further as you don't give a **** as you so quaintly point out.

You have strengthened my point, about which I was not certain anyway and raised it more as a question. What you do say however is what I fear COULD happen, instead of a steady build up and founding of a great team. If he does plan long term, it will be a first for Jose who does move often and rarely in good grace.
I truly hope that's not what's coming for us.
Your being a non fanatic fan gives you a better and clearer argument than one based on passion alone. Keep posting.

hmm.....Given Jose's restlessness I would be surprised if this is anything other than a 3 yr stint hence the speed with which he is moving during this window; acquisitions of Zouma & Shaw would signal a longer tenure.

that is the problem with Jose, until he gets a decade or so under his belt with one club.

I think Jose is potentially here for the long haul. I think there are only 2 jobs left he'd want to take now. Can't see him managing another English club now and he wont want to return to Italy or Spain. So maybe Bayern to win a title in that ever improving league (but they seem settled with Pep for a while) and the Portugal job near the end of his career.

As long as there is no fall out with the club, I think he wants a more long term job this time. Problem is, in management, very few last more than 2-3 years nowadays.

The big issue is whether Hazard now gets number 10?

Role or shirt? Really can't see him as a 10, he's too good a winger.

It will still be Oscar and Hazard as backup and then next season it will be Oscar with Paizon <wizard> as backup.

Agreed. He can play 10 but him wide with Oscar at 10 is much better than the other way round and Hazard's pace is best utilised in wide areas cutting in.
