I have never said it was a debt, although I am unaware of how your club finances work? SL has clearly said on many occasions that he and the other board members are making up the loss each year (and cant be expected to continue to do so!) Perhaps Nick Higgs put the money in as a loan? I don't know...?
banksy - do you actually know that the accumulated losses picked up by SL, including the £14M odd last year, have been converted into equity and not just loaned? Genuine question, because he can easily"pick up" the losses as you say but leave them on the books as debt. I think our "debt" stands at about the £80M mark including the theoretical Langston amount. VT has about £57M in the pot which he said he will capitalise once Hamman is finally out of our hair. Obviously, Prem money (if we get there!) next season will also help matters considerably.
Thats what he said! I haven't got a link but words to that effect! thats what I took them to mean.. I hope He keeps his word because if I was him and read some of the comments from some of our fans, I would think, Oh well, I gave it a shot.. perhaps I'm not really cut out for this, I'll knock it on the head..
