No, he's just not playing well, and yet he's getting barely any criticism for playing badly. Some fools are still kidding themselves that he's playing well. If Ramsey was playing like JW is now, there would be people calling for him to be dropped in a vat of boiling acid (OK, i would be one of them). Just being consistent.

I think he's just being played out of position because we currently have no options. He's never looked good defensively anyway, when Arteta is on the pitch he can forget about that part a bit.
And another thought. The OP said people were making fun of Ramsey. I don't think that was ever really the case, what we said was that he had been ruined by Chopper Shawcross.
I was extremely critical of him last season, some times i went overboard and probably used him as a scapegoat and other times i was justified but this season he looks alot stronger physically. In england thats vital and it allows him to let his quality on the ball shine through. Last year i felt that he hid a bit too much, wasn't creative enough with his passing etc. And i was even questioning wenger handing him a new deal but now he seems to have a real engine on him, he can get about the pitch from box-to-box and is able to then use his brain a bit more and slide players in (as we saw against fenerbache). Great performance again today and long may it continue.
The real problem is that the people that made fun of him created and atmosphere that was negative to his recovery. He cannot help to have read all the blogs and articles about how he was finished and it is to his credit that he was able to ignore the people that should have supported him. You and the people that ripped into him don't come out of this with any credit at all. None! You were ****s to him at a difficult time in his life. You can make every excuse you like; any decent person would (as some have done to their credit) hold up their hand and say, I was wrong, and we probably should have been more sympathetic. Not try to quibble over the word I used to describe it.
Are you saying the fans made him play badly? You know, you could have said that the criticism forced him to work harder to get things right. After all, that's what real sportsmen do. I don't know how he reacted to the criticism, or even if he heard it. What I do know is.... neither do you.
This , i think he has reacted to critiscism , upped his game and is now reaping the rewards. Thats the way it works. Long may it continue. He is a good solid member of the first team now . No doubt about that .

FYI we were NOT wrong so we wont hold our hands up for that , sorry to dissapoint you ...the bottom line is that the critiscism was deserved , and the praise is now deserved. . praise has to be earned not given regardless of performance .

TT you're digging a hole for yourself here. Yes I do believe some people went OTT with the Ramsey criticism it doesn't change the fact that his performances back then warranted criticism.
Criticism involves weighing the merits and faults of something and judging it. In this case the "criticism" if that is what you want to call it, was usually entirely negative and clearly, as it turned out, wrong. So the criticism that he would never be good enough for Arsenal was not merited in any way shape or form.
