You are trying to put yourself in a position of superiority, which clearly you aren't. A fan is a fan full stop, they all pay the same amount to get in, so they are entitled to an opinion, they have paid the entrance fee. The team are not delivering on the pitch - if the team displayed as much passion and fight as some of our fans, maybe we wouldn't be in the bottom 3.

If there was a badge for being a 'Special Fan' then clearly you would be in for the award, all our younger fans that are starting their journey and only have a few years behind them of supporting the club simply cannot compete with you. It is hardly the fault of our new fans that the club have been successful over the last few years, that has become the norm for them, so relegation is not something that will sit comfortably with them.

Did anybody else see the young lad in the east stand who threw his scarf onto the sidelines just before the end, then waited 30 seconds and went and got it again?

Good points there, I'm not knocking anyone supporting City even if it's their first season, I'm having a go at fans leaving early and booing, I don't agree with it and I never will, and I'm not a fan, I'm a supporter there is a difference

Fan/Supporter - All the same. I've been at Boothferry Park when attendances were sub 2k. There's nothing wrong with leaving early, why would you want to stay and watch any more of that? I left before the final whistle, as I simply didn't want to watch anymore of that contrite display. You could argue the players left at 12.45pm - none of them turned up yesterday.

I love whinging and booing and moaning and leaving early when we're playing ****. What's to stop me? Why is this not allowed? How does it make me any less of a fan?

Everyone has their ways of coping with disappointment, some will sit quietly and boil, some will throw a tantrum and let off the steam, others might just leave early and go for a pint or to a brothel.

I've been going for almost two years now so no one can criticise my commitment, and no one can tell me I'm any less of a fan for booing that heap of **** or storming out in a huff on 70 minutes. They deserved me turning my back on them, how else do you get the message of discontentment across?

It always used to happen when I went to Anfield with my dad and trust me no one says a word about it over there, it's considered as nothing out of the ordinary.

I have never read so much ****e in my life or should I say poo, calling him a c**t? Well I'm calling you a spineless snivelling wart encrusted toad if that's what it has come to. No matter what state the clubs in to come out with crap like that you should be ashamed of yourself.

NO way should Steve Bruce go. Its similar to the position that West Ham were in last year. He is trying to build a premiership side, and were in transition.

Hi lads, have any of you boys changed your view of Bruce, i recall when you were asking on the Sunderland board they gave you an honest opinion of him, and there was a bit of animosity after, i take it alls cool now , He was good for you at the start he did the same at Sunderland but now the honeymoon period is over you boys are left in the same predicament as he had us in, We changed managers and stayed up, i honestly think Hull should do the same,

    Good post, and insight.
I'm no longer sure we will be fine though.

My personal preference is that Bruce should go and we should freshen things up but in reality I don't think it would make a difference, as others have mentioned on this thread, the squad of players are what Bruce has built and only he should know his players better. If anyone is going to get us out of this mess it will be Steve Bruce.

People go on about dropping Livermore and Huddlestone but who are we going to play there instead, Quinny, Meyler? I wonder what Allum would think seeing one of our larger transfer fee & highest earner sat on the bench!

I wouldn't bring Lennon in or anyone in that matter, it will just be another distraction to Bruce as he looks at "other options/tactics". He just needs to concentrate on what we have and get the bloody best out of them, with MP coming in I think we'll just be safe, just.

I've been watching City for 26 years now & a seasonpass holder for 20 of them. The manner in which we seem to be losing nowadays is some of the most gutless, pathetic, half-arsed football Ive ever seen. The seasons we went down to League 2 & 3 (pre Championship) were better even though the football was **** the effort more often than not was there. These ****s wearing black and Amber couldn't give a ****. The club gets relegated: they still get paid, the club goes bump: theyll easily find new clubs and stupid contracts and continue to get paid.
The ****ers don't deserve their wages for yesterday.
The performances recently show they DO NOT GIVE A ****.
I would rather get relegated watching the young lads who WANT to wear the shirt, trying their hearts out for the club than these ****ing prima donnas.

It may be a bold statement to make, but the record scoring victory posted by the under 21's at the KC yesterday should make him sit up and take notice. Was he watching? Doubt it! Although the Allam's did stick around to their credit. On the evidence of what I witnessed, we do have local talent ready and waiting to be given a chance in form of strikers, midfielders and central defenders. Bruce needs to open his eyes not Dr Allams cheque book!!!!

Bloody hell, Thudds, not sure where you are with that one. If Bruce knows the players he should get them sorted - it's gone on too long. If changing the players isn't the answer then changing the manager must be or are we expected to stay up with both an underperforming squad and an underperforming manager? I think most owners would have ditched Bruce by now, but he will stay in the hope that Phelan can make a difference. That is probably the right decision, if coupled with additional creativity and a proven goalscorer.

I couldn't agree more, I stayed and watched the u21's after the game, despite them being up against a crap youth team in Mansfield, a few showed more fight and determination than the entire first team, plus we were 4-0 at half time!

Can Quinn & Meyler do any worse then Huddlestone & Livermore ? , personally I don't think they can.

Have to admit I will always back SB 100% while he's our manager but I've got to admit his tactics, team selection and transfer dealing are starting to make me wonder.

    My problems with Steve Bruce;

    - Quite often seem tactically inept and fails to have a plan B.
    - Consistently sticks with the same failing tactics that don't work.
    - His pre/post match interviews are like groundhog day - always the same with usually the same outcome.
    - Some of his dealings in the transfer market are frantic and lack purpose or common sense.
    - Signed a hot prospect of Tom Ince and has rarely given the kid a chance to build up some game time and confidence. (Rumoured to be selling him already)
    - Built up a great team chemistry only to seemingly destroy it again.
    - Insists on either long oof ball up front or running down the wing and putting in a cross to nobody.
    - Tactical substitutions are poor.
    - Usually overspends in the transfer market.
    - Gets to a point where he seems resigned to defeat, much akin to sinking ship.
