8 games, 20 points & 3 points clear of 2nd when not really hit our stride yet + some decent games coming up makes me feel happy.

As with any QPR fan it's always tempered by the thought that something negative is just around the corner so injuries/lack of cover are a concern.

I think it's difficult to be completely happy because we can't easily conceive how we should be doing.

Do we expect to go up given the resources we have? We're certainly not used to expecting points in virtually all games and, even on that score, we're doing it efficiently rather than emphatically - we seem to be using up our supply of luck and we're definitely not used to receiving good fortune regularly.

There's a sense of relief that we haven't struggled from the off (which was a genuine concern given the comings and goings over the Summer and the precedent of the likes of Wolves).

There's the fact that a season in this division is long and many teams fade after a good start - consistency is difficult to maintain over 46 games.

Then there's the QPR factor - the knowledge that the most unlikely disaster is just around the corner (probably find a horde of dead bodies under the pitch next Thursday).

God that post has cheered me up.... :'(

I am happy to just be winning games again, however it happens a win is a win! If we win more than the rest, goal difference wont matter.

However, it would be nice to have a two goal cushion to allow me to enjoy the closing stages of a game, because so far this season I havent been able to!

We have given ourselves a good solid foundation for the season ahead now, perhaps if we had gone out more attacking and conceded a few more goals we could have lost a couple by now. At least doing it the way we have, has meant we haven't been beaten, which has shaken the memories from last season, and a possible hangover into this season away.

A few losses early on in this season may have meant the feeling of last season had remained slightly. This way I think we have moved on.

Firstly I am over the bleeding moon very, very happy.

But I think you have a point here Sooper and what a lot seem to forget in 2010/11 we were not favourites and we had complete jokers as owners that would not put their hand in their pockets and so we were not seen as a threat especially from the start of the season.

This year is different we are now perceived as a failed prem team that are there to get one over on plus we are also seen as a moneybags club trying to buy success a completely different situation.

Before this season started I predicted on several threads that teams would make every game really hard for us and park the bus and that is what seems to be happening AND this will only get worse as the season progresses and more 1-0 will be gained and every match will be a war, that is until we really start to flow and then it will become a mind game that we should easily win.

Funny thing is nobody commented on my prediction on parking the bus?
