Bony will be fine. This time last year he had scored 2 goals and only really came alive in the New Year. I agree with others about Emnes and Montero. Both need more game time. I'd even give Emnes a go up front on his own. He provides a different threat and might wear teams out a bit, especially if Montero also plays. I would have Bony to come in at 65mins or so to give the opposition something else to think about. Either way, we need to mix up the starting line up more as we are very predictable at the moment.
This has to be done sooner than later, Emnes has quicker feet in tight situations in the box than Bony, so hopefully Monk will start to mix it up a bit more......
Agree. He really is a more aggressive attack threat than either Dyer or Routs, and his pace alone may find him getting fouled more often and the opposition picking up cards.
Bony should always be number one ,its only a matter of who is his regular back up and I think Emnes is the better option for us.Bony is awesome and that wont change, the only thing that will change is his luck and his service .Just a bit of time and Bony will be scoring regularly
I'd be inclined to take Siggy off at half time and replace him with Emnes. Other than the pointless inclussion of Emnes in the dying few minutes of game, when he has come on with Bony they look as if they have a very good understanding. Siggy has looked shattered after 50 minutes in every game he's played so doing a swap at half time would maintain momentum in midfield.
