UEFA have no involvement in deciding a players value. The valuation of a player is the clubs responsibility and if Huw has found a way around the 30% sell on clause and let him go for free there isn't anything that can be done about it.
Well,I disagree, and I hope that's O.K. and doesn't cause any more problems. I meant to say Fifa,by the way. He "found a way" by cheating,at least that's how I see it. Hopefully, the powers that be will think so as well, and make him pay up.
Regardless of any sanctions we have still pissed on our chips here... ...because the next time we are trying to knock some money off a transfer fee and instead insert a small sell on clause the selling team are likely to respond; "ummm...no thanks. We've seen how you behave. Now let's have all of the money up front or you can go whistle"
I will answer your question, because I really wanna see what your response is lol, this should be interesting. No Vorm is not worth more than Gylfi.
Can anyone form a defence as to why Huw gave Vorm a free transfer, very difficult to justify. The only things I can come up with is that we brought in a new keeper because Vorm's form had dropped off significantly last season, he even dropped to 3rd choice keeper for the Dutch side when 18 months ago he was clear favourite to be Hollands no.1. Secondly he is a high earner and needed to offload him to remove him from wage bill. Can't see these excuses washing with FIFA though.
Our good name has taken a ****kicking on this one ... a lose situation from the beginning , Just another stray thought from a board trying to win the "amateur " run club of the year. The more I think of it , the stupider this whole fiasco seems .What was Huw thinking , seriously .
It will all come out in a wash, and both clubs will reconcile their differences for sure!..................
As far as I can see, which is no further than anyone else, there are no known facts to talk about, just feelings and prejudices, which have given rise to much of the content of the thread. Where we actually are now is: a 'complaint' has been made to FIFA regarding the sale/swap of a player. Regarding contracts a 'complaint' means that a request has been made by a plaintiff to a judicial body (in this case FIFA) to look into the terms of a deal with regard to a contract, in order to 'clarify a position'. In other words, does the plaintiff have a case or not? If they (FIFA) decide there is sufficient evidence (a case to answer) then the plaintiff is advised and only then can an 'official action' (an investigation) be requested of FIFA. A 'complaint' doesn't mean anyone is perceived to be innocent or guilty of anything, its simply a request of a judicial body to clarify an action. Just because someone SAYS something, doesn't make it so. But who has complained about who?, is it Vorms old club?, Vorms agent? or a third party attached to Vorm and, therefore, the deal in some way? I'll apologies if its as Roof and Libby see it but right now I just don't because at this stage we don't know if it is Vorms former club solely asking for clarification, or an invested third party acting through the club, and we know even less of the minutiae of the deal; which is exactly as it should be. If an investigation occurs then we will know everything as it will be in public domain. Time will tell all, but in the meantime this 'complaint' wont effect the business reputations of any party involved what-so-ever, that will happen during any future investigation.
Vorm was our player and we owned him and can sell him on or we can off load him...nothing to do with anyone else unless they are paying his wages..
By publicly stating that Vorm,an International goalkeeper with two years to run on his contract, was "a free transfer",Jenkins has stuck two fingers up to Utrecht. This to avoid paying a couple of hundred thousand pounds. Ugh!!! Hopefully,he will not get away with it,and the powers that be will kick his ass all the way to Zurich,or wherever their headquarters is,and levy a big fine on the Club.
we are not privy to the story and we all know huw wont give anything away. Who cares anyway its not our problem its between huw, spurs and the dutch side. let the court decide as no fan on here knows anything about the deal...
What has me being "a fan",or not, got to do with this subject? And what has it got to do with you, anyway?
