It's good that some people are responding to the content of the OP, for the most part.

Of course Hendo is not as good as Cally. Cally played over 800 games for us, whereas Henderson has played just over 150.

I wanted people to compare and contrast their styles, their attitude and their workrate. Luckily most ppl have understood my intent and there have been some great posts.

Henderson is Henderson, nobody else. But, in drawing comparisons with players of the ilk of Callaghan and McDermott, he is showing that despite his shaky start to life in Red, he's making fantastic progress. He's 24, our vice-captain, and is a lynchpin for the team. He's fast becoming a fan favourite. He's certainly one of my favourite players in the current squad. <ok>

The first bit of this about Henderson is spot on imo.....forget the 2nd part as it's about Rooney!

Just think when we signed him a few of us and most rival fans were thinking WTF are they doing - he's a class act now week in week out. Always gives 100% and his passing range, vision - well his whole game is improving so much, it's been great to watch the growth of the young lad, long may it continue <ok>

It's off the radio, mainly saying about when he gave Gerrard a mouthfull for not keeping hold of the ball in the corner when he tried to flick one into Balotelli - and how he should naturally be Captain when Gerrard leaves and should captain England within 5 years. Plus that nobhead Savage says how good he thinks he is. It's only short, but worth a listen <ok>
