Too early to chuck Watmore in kidda. Id have him out on loan this window to a decent championship team for next season. We need a nearly finished article who can handle the pressure now and get us goals. If we heap that kind of pressure on young Watmore he will end up like another McClean.
True but as an option on the bench. No fear. Could snatch some points here and there. Agreed though too early and tough for constant playing.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmm? SkyBet Steven Fletcher to sign for before 1st February 2014 Tottenham 13/8 Celtic 12/1 Hull 12/1 Arsenal 20/1 Everton 20/1 Swansea 20/1 Newcastle 33/1
I really don`t have a problem with Fletcher leaving. His contribution so far this season hasn`t exactly been wonderful. It`s all very well saying he`ll come back into form but how long can we wait? If Gus signs a replacement now who can hit the ground running and hoy a few in the net that would be an improvement. If that means Fletcher goes then so be it. We need a striker to contribute now not wait for the one we`ve got to come back into form. It may be mercenary but, imo, necessary.
Yeh, I'm comfortable with that Grandpops. Same goes for Jozy, Ji and Connor. But if a few are going out it means Gus has confidence in bringing his targets in.
Ji yes, out, Connor not sure, Jozy I think has a lot more to offer in the way of work and support. I`d be inclined to keep him. Gus targets, that`s where it all hinges mate. A couple of weeks and we`ll know.
http://www.irishmirror.ie/sport/soc...lands-steven-fletcher-transfer-target-3023074 Steven Fletcher is determined to stay and fight for his place at Sunderland. Hull, Crystal Palace and Championship promotion chasers QPR are all keen on the Scotland centre-forward after Black Cats boss Gus Poyet said publicly every player has a price. Everton boss Roberto Martinez could be interested in the summer too, but the Wearsiders have yet to receive any offers for the 26-year-old. Fletcher was a £12million signing from Wolves in 2012, and none of the interested clubs have come anywhere to saying they will meet Sunderland’s financial demands. The Scot likes it at Sunderland, and is in no rush to leave the Stadium of Light. Fletcher is hoping to stay and help Poyet’s fight for survival for the rest of the campaign. Hull boss Steve Bruce is a big admirer, but this week insisted no offer had been made by the Tigers. * SUNDERLAND will host Kidderminster in the FA Cup's fourth round after the non-League side went to League One Peterborough on Tuesday and won their third round replay, 3-2. Strange source like but hope this is true!
then he needs to pull his finger out and start playing with some conviction as of late hes not even trying
Ba loves his footy and wants to play if we can get near the wages he would come to play every week im sure
ive watched Ba a bit now immense player, IF WE HAVE ANY AMBITION AT THE CLUB THIS IS THE NEXT LEVEL PLAYER WE NEED
If Demba Ba signs for you permo,in this transfer window, I will change my name to Mary. There is less than no chance of him signing for a team at the bottom unless WHU come up with incredible wages
Sunderland and Everton had agreed a fee for Fletcher but his agent said "he wants to stay at the club and prove critics wrong, fight for his place at Sunderland" The club are willing to back Fletcher's words.
