You're right there, they were a lot stronger than I thought. Not full team, but not far off.

Camden Lock on the afternoon, good pub crawl up Camden High Street then Trafalgar Square or Covent Garden on the Sat night , should be a laugh.
Where's everyone going on the Sunday morning? I would imagine that the very few pubs around Wembley will be stowed off, maybe jump a tube and go back down the line a couple of stops, anyone know anywhere?

I'll be travelling down on the morning of the game as I'm taking my 13 year old son, and hopefully my 19 year old as well who is living away at Uni if I can get him a ticket..

I was 8.5 in 1973 and didn't go. Been to EVERY other Wembley final/Play off/Meaningless competition SAFC have been in since and seen the beaten every time.

We wont get to London until mid afternoon so it will be after 9 by the time we get up and running and have a few sherbets on the way. Time is optional but it will be going all night anyway. We just got our tickets today as well. <cool>

With or without tickets we were going Smug and we are all 49 to 53 years old not sprogs. Lol

My cousin is flying in from Oz at a cost of $1600 and he hasnt even got a ticket. Got other mates who are coming in from Europe (lads who have gone for over 40 years to games) without tickets just to be a part of the weekend. Its embarrassing and humiliating the level of failure of this club given we all only want 1 bloody trophy in our lifetime. We are not exactly greedy.

Me anarl. I was ten in '73 and didn't think I'd have to wait 41 years like this (and then some if we lose)...

If we have to wait for our next cup final the same time as we have this one from 92, I'll be bloody 71 years old. :emoticon-0107-sweat

I'll still be in Trafalgar Square fountain mind if I am still here<laugh>

Sid, I was 17 in 1973 and got a ticket.

My uncle who'd been supporting Sunderland for donkey's couldn't get one.

I bravely gave him mine thinking it would, no doubt, happen again quite soon <doh>

Wierd, Smug. I got one in '92 and gave it to my Uncle Bill so he could go with my dad.

Cest, I'm impatient too, but I can wait until May for our next Cup Final after this :) (Cheers, Gus!)

Don't want to derail the thread, but I've been to Wembley watching us in 74, 76, 88, 98, 99 and 2000.

    Bonus point for 1988.

I was 13 at the time and got a ticket, went down with me Dad's mate and son, had a great time obviously. I always remember my mother asking me to give my ticket to Dad cos he might not get the chance again. Don't be daft I said to her, he'll get loads of chances cos we'll be back there all the time. Poor bloke is 83 now and suffering from dementia, if only I'd known.

2000 was FA cup semi final, got beat 2-1 off Chelsea.

1988 was in the Mercantile credit cup. We beat Liverpool on penalties. That's all I'll say on that one. <ok>
