I'd definately play Fathi for both. Don't think a midfield of Quinn-Meyler-Koren is solid enough and doesn't allow Meyler to do what he does best in bombing forward e.g. winning the pen at Ipswich. Koren is a great impact player to come off the bench and has been far better in this role this season than when he has started and looked disinterested
Definitely Fathi. He's shown he's ready and needs a couple of games as a starter if we are planning on keeping him next season, which I hope we do. Koren is best suited to the impact sub role.
I've been really impressed with Fathi's ability to take the pressure off when the other side is attacking. I think he's a perfect fit for Evan's position.
Don't think any of you will know this band but any chance we can have a chant for Fathi ' Fathi Boom Boom ' Discard the original lyrics... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIXUgtNC4Kc (skip 2:59 and slowed down) SOmething like.. "Hey Fathi Boom Boom, hit them with your best shot running down the wing son, dodging and weaving one of three egyptians, for the mighty tigers wooooooOOOOOOoooooo woooohoo
I saw it when I first pointed out the Meyler situation before the international break and said he could get there, but as he wasn't playing I didn't expect him to. I can't believe he managed to get booked 3 times in 15 days despite not being a regular starter (2 starts and 2 subs). That's twice as well that we've had a player get to 10 bookings and not take a second yellow to reduce the ban. Meyler fair enough would have come back against Middlesbrough and been on 9 bookings still so would have had 2 games where he could have got another 2 game ban. Evans had nothing to lose by getting the second booking so it's a shame he got injured as we'd have got to see how wise to the rules the club had become.
