Sounds like he's safe for now at least.

It'll be interesting to see whether they back him in the summer or if they tell him to sort out the mess he's made by shipping out some of the dross he's bought

Do you even go to games?

Not having a dig but I doubt they'll be too bothered by someone who only watches internet streams boycotting the club.

For all the talk about losing Suarez, injuries and Sterling, Rodgers has been woeful this season. His tactics have been costly, poor substitutions, playing out of form players (39% win rate with Gerrard compared to 64% without him, so guess who always plays...), struggling to fire up the team against weaker opposition so we get walked over, failing to address the failings in the squad in the summer and winter transfer window and refusing to accept help defensively when it's obvious that he can't do anything to improve it.

Get Klopp. See if he can work wonders with convincing some of his former players to venture this way; Hummels, Bender, Aubameyang and Gundogan are the sort of player we need.

If we don't get Klopp, we need to tell Rodgers to shut up and sign a defensive coach. Ask the transfer committee what defensive options they have on their shortlist and if they're as good as Balotelli, fire them.

From who we've been linked with; Illaramendi, Kovacic, Pedro, Vietto and (unrealistically) Lacazette (just like last year) would be quality additions to the team. Any RCB will do. There must be hundreds of players who'd be an upgrade on what we have and surely someone will take Lovren off our hands.

Rodgers, I still maintain, is a fantastic attacking coach, but he is defensively awful and lacks a plan B other than lumping the ball to Balotelli or Lambert. Whilst we get a defensive coach, maybe another assistant manager who can tell Rodgers he's a numpty at times would be useful...not too sure what Pascoe does, but he doesn't fill me with confidence...

Fair enough mate, wasn't having a dig, was just curious really. Because the club only caters for fans who come over with Thomas Cook and come out of the club shop with loads of shopping bags and spend the whole game recording instead of chanting and enjoying the game.

    Pretty much agree with everything.

Apart from saying Rodgers is a good attacking coach. If he was, then our attack would not have regressed this much with the loss of one player.

What I do find very concerning is how Rodgers is another member of this club who seems to have evaded criticism from the media and ex-pundits. We saw the whole country have a go at Sterling last week but hardly any of the pundits seem to question Rodgers and his awful record this season.

We are starting to suffer as a club. If they keep Rodgers, I lose all support for our owners.

We saw Kenny and Rafa go despite achieving more. I'll be very surprised if Rodgers is still here next season.

Nah, for me he is a good coach. He has got a lot out of players and improved individual performances as a whole. He has had the team playing better attacking football (inconsistently this season) than I've seen in the last 15. He was hindered severely by losing Suarez and Sturridge, however that just moves the criticism to his inability to sign suitable attacking players/replacements rather than his coaching.

This. He never got it during your poor run prior to December; never got it during the fiasco of the CL group stages; never got it after the FA Cup exit; never got it in the last 6/7 games. He is impervious to any criticism by the media. That might just save him.

I hope last year's good campaign bought him some immunity this season - seems it has.

  15. Obviously. If we had played well, you'd have only got 64 :p

Rodgers could use that one at his meeting. Reverse points.
