worries me is he will only go if told to not because he has let the club down and should on principle like some other managers do.

ie he wants his fecking pay off, like most greedy batards today.

A fully deserved wumming it is too, I want more photoshops and gifs alongside the hastily typed jokes and nasty comments, if someone can knock a video up that'll be appreciated.

Not being funny but is there some degree of over-reaction here? Who remembers the thread mid-srason about considering to sack Rodgers? And everyone decided it was a knee jerk reaction.

Wumming aside, have the last 6/7 games and the way the season has ended just skewed opinion?

maybe, personally more to it than that though, i don't think he is appealing enough for players to want to play for, and the longer he stays the name of playing for the club will deteriorate

I think for many it's the manner of how we've performed and conducted ourselves over the last 6/7 games. We look like a team full of individuals, leaderless (Gerrard aside), and this is now Rodgers squad, £215m worth of squad, with only a handful of good players to show for it. A year is a very long time in football, Rodgers failed to build on the foundations he made, last Summer was huge for us and he (and the transfer committee) wasted it. It's resulted in a failure to motivate the players, a failure to get the best out of the players. Not to mention him contradicting himself every month, airing his views about Sterling every week etc. Defenders who can't defend, wingers at WB, and Borini, Lambert and Balotelli up front for a large chunk of the season. There's no evident style of play, last season we had that quick-paced counter attacking style of football, the early parts of the season he dropped that and stuck Balotelli up front.. This until he found the 3-5-3 formation, which slowly became stale.

Last season was wonderful, jury is well and truly out on whether he'll ever be able to replicate it..

LFC will always attract top players but you could be right. Tbf events have conspired a little against him. Rodgers can still provide the attraction but he needs one or two relatively big name signings. A statement of intent.

I'm playing devil's advocate here but if you'd won yesterday then I think the fervour of wanting him out would instead just be a few mumblings here or there.

I think he loves the limelight and has probably read books on how to portray yourself in management. But tbf to him (and I said this on the United board rival thread) nobody could begrudge your style of football under him at times.

If I was him I'd go all out for a top DM and a top Striker. Spunk 60 to 70 million on them if need be. Let Henderson have a free role. Everything else can wait.

Perhaps, but don't underplay the significance of a 6-1 loss (to Stoke..), at any stage of the season regardless of form, there's something not quite right in the squad and I think yesterday merely highlights that.

Yeah last season we were immense, but off the top of my head I can only think of 5 times this season we've played well, and that's me being truthfully honest, in 38 games that's unacceptable.

DM and a top striker? Wish he did that last season when we had Suarez money and CL.

Any manager that can go at least 11 games unbeaten two seasons in a row isnt bad (i seriously need to have a wash after saying that lol). Any manager that can motivate that sort of momentum deserves some credit.

The question is, is the extra 10% needed, a fault that lies in Rodgers or the players? Before you go sacking him, what are the alternatives??? I'm not talking about who the next manager will be (although that is bloody important), I'm considering where you go from there. Are you better off continuing with a man who will be in the 4th year of a plan already started OR are you honestly expecting the next guy to have a greater impact in a shorter period?

ie. looking a year from now, who has the greater chance of having taken you forward...rodgers or someone new?

depends on the choices, if it was Klopp or brendan then i would go for klopp personally, someone other than him you probably do have a point, he will certainly attract a better quality of player than brendan has managed, which might make it a bit easier.

You really think Rodgers has a plan? I think he had a plan that looked really good on paper when he was interviewed for the job. However the job has moved on and abandoned after the first year when we finished 7th, I'm sure when he started there was no plan to buy someone like Balotelli or spend 25mil on Lallana. This season just gone showed no clear direction for the team on the pitch, chopping and changing the formation and playing players out of position, and the transfer activity last summer just looks haphazard.

From L'Equipe - Lille's on loan Liverpool striker Divock Origi named in their 'Worst Team of the Season' with average rating of 4.46.

Just in case you were pinning your hopes on him <whistle>
