Didn't they admit it wasn't affordable to sack him before due to his contract being so high, but they wanted to. What a terrible position to be in, but if it's true he's earning as much as is being reported he can't complain + he'll walk into another job.
 
Best thing for them. He doesn't deserve top level football.

I just hope I don't have to watch him in the Championship.
