All gone very quiet at the club over the accusations made against Bellamy, especially now that the Beardsley case has escalated. Now this............... https://www.skysports.com/football/...th-ban-after-pleading-guilty-to-drink-driving
Not good. I was hoping that bellamy would become a figurehead at the club, but seems to have lost his way. It's probably a missing link at the club and something not easily implemented. Thinking along the lines of Curtis at the swans, phelan at manure and Osian Roberts with Wales. If Cardiff is building for the long term, some fabric needs weaving in behind the scenes.
His career is spiralling into oblivion? He’s young enough to get back into it but he’s seemingly got personal issues.
Not for the first time, I agree with remote. The drink driving conviction alone would not be career threatening, but combined with the bullying accusations, it hardly sets him up as a role model for the club. Such a shame as I always admired the man's passion. I also agree about the fabric of the club. We've all identified that an ethos for the club is required and an ex player would be a great figurehead. Perhaps we can persuade Mr Bale to take up the baton?
If he could stop answering a question with “look” it would be a step forward! Always had attitude, but he could channel that on the pitch. When I left Ninian Spurs, I was a lost soul...then I found this Not606 Cardiff City....never been the same!
It's a pity about Bellers but he needs to cool down. There are a few ex-players I wouldn't mind seeing in that roll. Macca, Hudson and Super Kev could all do a job.
A shame, but appears the correct decision. The academy seems to have been rudderless for some time. Its a missing part of the CCFC puzzle that needs fixing. Hopefully its on Colin's agenda. I read that he thinks the new training complex, with all age groups in the same place, will help. Hopefully someone to oversee its direction.
His burgeoning career either at City or in football media looks to be in tatters. He’s always got his restaurant business to keep him occupied, plus his millions
Yes. The club is stronger than it's been for decades, but to go forward and create a club style, we need youth players being trained in the style and taking their place in the first team. That way, we might even find a legend of the future who will one day manage the club.
He hasnt been sacked. More Daily Fail nonsense. Apparently the academy play a passing possession based game.
https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/new...-report-sheffield-wednesday-3-2-cardiff-city/ Not withstanding Bellamy's absence, this is Bellamy's team and although they lost in final, it was a huge achievement for the U18 team, beating the not so mighty Leeds in the North v South semi final. There are good things going on under the radar here.
Kavanagh, Margetson, Bowen, Ratcliffe. Not sure how they play, but big names. Its getting that talent into the first team is the failing. I was reading that Cameron Coxe is looking to leave as he's not getting any game time. A full back who has been in the wales squad and is attracting the attention of man city (I know they sniff around any brittish youngsters) but cant get near our team. Another of Colin's failings is he likes 'tried and trusted'.
Not sure if Bellamy is finished. He has the makings of a good coach as passion does play a lot into it. However, he needs to learn the modern way of imparting his passion of the game in a nice millenial style...
Bellamy one of my favorite players to play for Cardiff and Wales, I have met him twice and he is nothing like what is protrade about him by the media. He is very passionate about football especially welsh clubs and dont have a bad word said about any of them....I met him in the strand pub in Swansea where he was on a night out with Hartson and their mates. He had time for everyone...Top man...
