His form is showing definite signs of picking up, but overall he's only been half the player we hoped for when we bought him. Still got the talent, though and competition for a place will hopefully give him the kick up the arse he needs.
What are we basing this so called 'talent'on? OK Then Jeff Whitley never really showed his talent but we only gave him about 3 years if we stuck with him maybe he was a latent diego maradona
Oh do **** off. Why do you think City bought him? Or why we wanted him from Boro? Because he was playing well enough to get into the England squad FFS
Crazy talk comparing with Flo. The lad has ability. He is not the most consistent and has obviously not delivered for your lot in the way he should have, but you never know with a new manager. He might find a new way of utilising him. I do think he is the fairweather type who requires the team to be going well to see the best of him but there are plenty like that. England is not out of the question. If he played well enough he'd get selected no matter where he is playing his football. The problem he will have is the likes of Townsend, Sterling, Welbeck, Wilshere, Barkley are bursting through in attacking midfield areas. Then you have the ultra consistent Milner. I think the selection of Lambert shows Woy is not interested in where you play your football but how you play it.
It has been often said he likes the drink mind..he certainly plays as if he is pissed and recovering from a hangover!
Look the lad has ability and can make chances even when he is not playing well. Look at the Man U game he was not outstanding but he did make both of the chances we missed. On that basis alone he is worth his place.
