I don't think we'll be seen as a bottomless pit when it comes to the purchase of new players, Mike Ashley is a tough business man and it's no secret. Man City have paid over the odds for players and learned it can come back and bite you, Robhino was a none starter exciting for fans when he arrived but it soon turned sour. I can't be the only one who felt a bit uneasy about their relentless pursuit of Lescott, even after they were repeatedly told he was not for sale. To me the way Man city conducted themselves they made it clear money was not an issue. My main concern is that we don't have a repeat of the Carroll saga, it was out of the blue, having just renewed a contract, I thought it would be somewhat binding, we know who's been in negotiations for renewals, lets just hope we don't get hit with any more surprises, finding a new striker may not be our only concern.

I think we will probably be overpriced for players a little, especially if clubs are aware of our full situation but saying that I'd much rather have 35mil to spend then maybe 10mil from Ashley.
