Just include the fees in the bloody ticket price

Another instance of this here situated beside the lovely Saint John River where the Small Craft Aquatic Centre is located where you can rent a kayak or canoe + lifejacket for $20/hr and if you are a student (like my daughter) or have a UNB Aquatic swimming pool membership (like us) that charge is 50% off. Now you are encouraged to make your reservations conveniently online and then complete all of the necessary waiver forms (for 4 people) ahead of arrival, the UK based company contracted to do this charges an extra $4.00 to the fees, compared to none if just showing up and wasting a lot of time completing all the paperwork.

On a whole new topic, at least here you are not expected or having your arm twisted to leave a suggested 20% tip that I find extremely annoying for many basic transactions these days where no real "service" is offered.

"The tour meeting time is 8:15am, and it is now 8:30...we are all here waiting for you. Is all ok, and where are you?"

"I'll be there in a second."

Trouble is, if that were true, I'd be able to see you...so tell me how long you'll really be so I can decide if it is worth waiting or if you're lack of time keeping skills means you've missed out. It's coming towards the end of tourist season so good to get that off my chest.

Also...

"Oh, you support QPR...they used to be good, right?"

What’s your best price?

It’s the price on the ticket you tight ****er!
Or if they really annoy me I add £10 and say that’s my best price - they look at me dumbfounded and speechless then :emoticon-0102-bigsm
And it’s more often the people with loads of money that always want to push a deal - can’t help themselves

Not quite the same, but also hate this when getting rid of stuff on ebay etc. Along with the equally insulting 'what's the lowest you will accept?'. Doesn't matter, because you're not having it now.
