Irrational Like/dislike

Likes - Torquay United (went to see them in '89 in the "Sherpa Van Trophy Final" at Wembley) happy day despite a 4-1 thumping to Bolton. The finalists were presented with a Sherpa Van by Mr Elton John.

Dislikes - Coventry (always seemed to lose to them when I was at CR) and Ipswich.
 
Apart from the obvious, 1p5swich <doh> I absolutely despise EVERTON !

I'll NEVER forgive them for fielding an under strength side in the last match of the season in '85 against Coventry after they had already won the title. I think they got beat 4-0 , Coventry stayed up we went down as a result, Bastards.

They also 'poached' Mike Walker from us, have a **** ground, finish mid table every season nowadays winning ****-all,
and the media have a love-in with the most overated never won ****-all manager David Moyes !

Oh, and of course they 'found' that tosser Rooney, the're Scousers and have a God awfull accent.

And another thing, I once had a colleague whom I dubbed the 'workshy ****er' who was Norwich born and bred but 'supported' Everton and for some pathetic reason hated all things NCFC and would have been only too pleased if
City went out of business ! What a nob

P.S. Can't stand 'We won the World Cup' Wet Sham either !

And another thing, when Everton survived relegation on the last day of the season in the mid nineties allegations were rife that Segers the Wimbledon keeper deliberately let in a last minute goal for a bung. Find it on Youtube have a look, make your own decision !

Good thread, hope you Canaries don't mind if I join in.

Aside from the obvious West Ham, Spurs and Arsenal I must also say I

Likes: City - Great bunch of fans and very accommodating on trips to Manchester as far as I remember.
Wolves - Like McCarthy and their attitude, Molineux looks nice as well
Norwich - Don't know why but I always had a soft spot for Norwich, really wanted you to stay up in the 04/05 season
WBA - Just like the club, players and style of football

Dislikes: Wigan - Hate the fact they don't take any fans to away games and have poor attendances for home games, not a football town, annoying when you have more deserving clubs stuck in Football League.

Everton: Hate the fact they play 4-6-0 or at best 4-5-1 in every game and then moan and say how hard done by they were when they eventually concede. £15m on Yakubu <doh>, £15m on Fellaini and moan about finances.

Villa: Probably as they are right on my doorstep now, but I do find the delusion and Villa fans in general just irritating.
 
Apart from the obvious like and dislike, here are my others.

Likes:

Peterborough - Don't know why. Just had an interest in them for years.
Gillingham - Same as above
Celtic - 1st team I saw playing in hoops on colour TV.

Dislikes:
Everton - 1985. 'Nuff said.
Coventry - As above
Wigan - Non - descript team
Spurs - League Cup Final
Villa - As above.
Derby (and John Robertson)- FA Cup quarter final
Brighton (and Jimmy Case) - As above

Ipswich - obviously
Colchester - don't understand why they exist, and I've tried
Chelsea - **** fans, no respect for most of their players
QPR - maybe its just Warnock. It they annoy the hell out of me, won't stay out of the papers

Like
Norwich - obviously
Charlton - Missus' team and a club that deserve a bit of luck, even after "that day"
Carlisle - some of the most passionate lower league fans I've encountered. A credit to English football.
Lowestoft - ex Norwich players

I have minor gripes with other teams but I won't go into that, sure there's a character limit on this and I'd be here all day...

Brechin City, very 1st pro game i ever watched.
Crewe, dont know why,just like them.

Dislikes, Man City, MK Dons,Chelsea and Man.U. Plastic teams.

Oh, and Beefy, should have kept the afterbirth and binned him.
