He was too busy praising villa to the hilt, and slagging his own players off.

    In lambert we trust!

The most disappointing thing is I wasn't even bothered today. I was out all afternoon, careless and in no rush to find out today's scores.

CH has sucked out any enjoyment I had from supporting NCFC which is the biggest shame for me.

So true, Toon fans are despairing right now especially. If we win against West Brom, our "cup final", then clubs like Southampton and Fulham aren't safe. We need a miracle; either 1) Swansea beating Wigan, who then get beat by Villa or 2) We beat West Brom. Either will be enough for safety. We will be the most dangerous opponent for West Brom next week, it will 100% attack, knowing full well that should we fail, it is better to go down in glorious defeat than humilitating capitulation. It is not an overstatement to say that this upcoming game is without a doubt the biggest game in our club's history.

To be fair, he won his 1st game 4-0. I would take that <ok>

So we get a 4-0 win against West Brom then get thrashed by Man City. I'd take that.

Another irony is a Wigan win on Tuesday would gear them up for the last game v Villa. Then ideally Chelsea win at Villa on Saturday, we beat West Brom on Sunday and Wigan lose at Arsenal. I think we'd be safe with just that win.

Jeez, that's of concern. We equalise on 74 minutes and he admits that from that moment the important thing is NOT TO ****ING LOSE <yikes>

I genuinely can't believe what I'm reading on this thread. Your squad is one of the weakest in the league on paper (you signed the vast majority from the championship), and your club is in the top 5 of those who can complain of "limited resources" as well. What do you guys expect? Lambert f***ed off because achieving mid-table consistently with your back against the wall is nigh on impossible, never mind finding improvement year on year. He'd not have done any better. Your players have been found out, they've had a season extra of analysis by the rest of league, that means they would naturally find it harder to get points. Take Holt for example... You think he has another 15 goal season in him... EVER???

Chris Hughton has a defensive policy, and always has had. However, when given time he's improved the spectacle. He did it at Newcastle and Birmingham. Believe me, our first half season in the championship was utterly boring, but we got the points to set us up. Then he made signings to improve us.

Contrast his performance with Pardew's... how much has bloody Pardew spent? His tactics are ten times more negative, especially after half-time (whatever the score), he's slowly regressed the squad in the second season, rather than following an upward trend as Hughton has always done... Most of our squad are internationals and we're pathetic and a mess, with no organisation whatever, and we are getting humped and show no fight whatsoever (you will never, ever be able to utter that in connection with a Hughton side). So what are you guys whining about again?

I'd walk over nails to get Chris Hughton back, and believe me, you'll be saying the same when you hound him out because he's had the audacity to not be able to compete as supreme footballing entities of the galaxy on a pittance.

If you shut your traps for one second, let him bed in the Wolf and hopefully buy some pace to bolster the squad, I could see him taking you further than Lambert ever would have.

Lovely post but the only place he is taking us is to the Championship.

He's had time. A whole season, with a squad that finished 12th last season - and has been strengthened since then. He has been so reactive in everything he's done at Norwich that he's left himself with two games to avoid us floundering around for a decade or si in the Championship <doh>
