The Chairboys return to Adams Park after a disappointing narrow defeat last week and will be looking for a much better performance against the Iron who visit AP for the first time in five years looking for their first win having drew 3 and lost 2 at AP, all ten games in which we have met have all been in the league and half of them have been draws. Its back to the drawing board for Gaz and he will be hoping Charles will return to the defence having impressed since his debut, his replacement last week AEA looked well off the pace and playing for 90 minutes looked much to much for him and I hope the lads get a good nights sleep Friday night as most of the team was asleep for Covs winner. I will at AP again for this game looking forward to a good game in which we keep the ball close to the surface for much of the game but with a bit of the long ball stuff to mix it up and get our third win of the season
I am going to this one my first home game of the season hoping for a cracking performance & a home win
Team news Gareth Ainsworth is waiting on news of the fitness of Matt Bloomfield after the midfielder picked up a knee injury last weekend, while Darius Charles missed out at Coventry and continues to be assessed. Marcus Bean has returned to training and could be in contention, while Nathan Tyson and Anthony Stewart are a week closer to a return.
According to a couple of Scunny fans on another forum their best player Josh Morris will be their biggest miss today as all their attacking play goes through him, they also doubt they'll have a full bench of subs because of injuries.
2 changes from last Saturday - Bloomfield misses out and Williams on the bench with Fred and PCH starting.
Looking again at the starting XI it could be 4-4-2 with Fred and Paris out on the wings with CMS and The Beast up front.
I just got back from football to see we had pulled back to 2-2 then down to 10 men with 10mins (well ****ing 11 as it turned out) and then to get the winner. Brilliant.
Had an excellent day at football too watching my 12yo grandson in an U14 league game against a very strong team from Granville. 1-0 down after a couple of minutes. Drew level a minute later and came out convincing 4-1 winners. Great day all round
