Tell you what. The cafe I go to on the Uxbridge Road before games (opp the Adelaide) is full of hooped-up accented Irelanders. Talk about a spontaneous meet up. Jovial bunch. My age too!
Lady/Gents When out faith is decided next week, I will raise this again. I am home in mid Sept so i would hope to try and arrange this in late Sept or early Oct. Swords and Finglas might agree to arrange the spot if we decide to go with Dublin, but somewhere central near to train lines etc etc. I know everybody can't and won't be able to make it, but we will agree on a date and an open invitation will be sent to all. A plan B would be to arrange a specific game at HQ where as many Irish Hoops as possible travel over for the same match and stay if possible. Let's not agree to anything yet, but the possibilities are there. Les just agree at this stage to make a big effort early next season to travel either to Dublin or HQ together to watch a match.
Its official last game of the season has been arranged for the ANTIQUE TAVERN SUNDAY 12TH . if ye didnt know already when it was lol. i reckon i will be there for 2 to get a seat in the lounge area........... WE ARE STAYING UP
Trip to Ireland? Thanks Corks and Steve. Not a great traveller me but very tempted. Could well happen given the undeniable quality of the company!
