Whichever of the top three fails to make it and falls into the playoffs, I hope they suffer it in the most painful was possible. Final seconds of the final game of the season, please.

Also agree that Leeds are the ones I really want to avoid.

He's gone further and said he dropped KWP cos he had a bad game against Middlesbrough.

So one bad game for our best player results in an instant drop to the bench, but other players keep getting picked regardless of their recent performance (Manning early this season springs to mind)

I defended Martin for this purely on the assumption that I just didn't believe he would drop KWP for the most important match of the season for us.... I really wish I was right to assume.

Crazy decision and Bree got caught a couple of times even before the red card.

None of us thought he'd be stupid enough to drop our best player by choice, and yet here we are.

Just astounding. Surely there’s got to be more in it? As all have said, one of our best offensive players & although I have no major issue with Bree, he looked rusty & was caught out on numerous occasions throughout the game. Red was harsh but still lost his man.

Why can’t we ever just appoint a normal manager that does normal things like playing our best players in their best positions? FFS

That sounds scarily like Nathan Jones.

Yeah there were a lot of reasons/excuses he could have given, but just saying it's performance-based smacks of arrogance.

KWP is undoubtedly one of our best three players, and he's a legend for sticking with the club after relegation. Outrageous that's he's dropped because of one game.

I get what you’re suggesting but we have to prepare for the playoffs by winning every match or at least showing a total intent to win every match. We cannot coast to them and RM’s tinkering gives me no confidence at all now. How the team that is put out for the remaining matches changes the current sloppy way of letting teams back into games is the biggest challenge RM has on his ‘to do’ list. I really hope there is some honest debriefing going on over at Staplewood!!

He also wasn't bad against Boro. ****ing ridiculous decision to drop him for a must win game.

If that's the case he could even have brought him on. Starting to struggle in a match and leaving your best player on the bench?

    Honestly baffled by that

He left him on the bench even after our RB was sent off FFS!

He's certainly not helping himself here with the fans, that is as bad as Branfoot dropping Le Tiss all those years ago. Let's hope that he doesn't do it again because we desperately need KWP on the pitch for the run in.

And Ipswich started playing long balls over the top to exploit our high line and slow defenders. It worked a treat.

He should have bought KWP on as soon as the Bednarek injury happened. That was when the tempo of the game changed in Ipswich’s favour and we never gained control again.

It's the same in any match where we substitute Che when we're only one goal up. My heart just sinks. Martin might as well just pull a gun out of his pocket and start shooting at his own feet.

If he insists on doing it, then at least do it in a way that will help us cope better to defend a one goal lead. For example, as I said at the time, it should have been Bednarek who came on for him vs Boro. Go five at the back and see out the 1-0 win. Don't bring Mara on, so that he can stand around in the centre circle and watch the game completely pass him by.
