Your strikers sounded a real threat tonight (as Chopra always is), but as you say it looks like you need to sort out your defence. Just saw what Paul Jewell said after the game - very critical of the players, maybe he should take part of the blame?

Nigel Adkins. Legend.

I have never seen anyone gel a team together like this man! He truly has all of the players playing for each other. Amazing.

Amazing first 4 games for Soton, i thought you would do well but that is fantastic, it seems when you look at Hull, Blackpool, Swansea, and Norwich where they were a few seasons ago. And it looks like one prometed team always seems do to exellent after they are promoted, and you can attract good players to your club now.

I can see OXO being a success for us if we treat him properly. Theo has done some brilliant things for us, and lots of you are convinced that Oxo is even better than theo was at 17.

I did think so, but then I looked back over some of the things Theo did during his time with us, and he was bloody impressive. I'd put them on a par.

Here's a little memory for you. When we were in the Premiership we used to go to the Silverlake Stadium [Eastleigh Spitfires home] and let the Youth team play them. One season we had Theo on one wing. Nathan Dyer on the other, and Kenwyne Jones in the middle. Don't think I've seen three footballers all run so fast. :D
Gareth Bale may have been at LB, but I wouldn't swear to it.

When you look at the teams you've listed, they all had one thing in common: team spirit. Southampton seem to have that in abundance under Nigel.

I know, i've already made myself look an arse with some of my predictions. I've picked Arsenal to win the premier league.

Heart ruling head, but if you buy 2 or 3 players with experience before the window shuts then you might just do something. Scot Parker please as West Ham might spoil our little party.

Thanks for posting the goals Bender.....Beautiful pass from Morgan for the 4th. Scarily we'll be favorites going into the Millwall match...hope thats not a bad omen

I just hope this doesn't raise too many peoples excpectations to the point where Adkins or the team gets slated when we finally lose. It's going to happen and we just have to remember we are in a very good league. Think Millwall will make it hard for us saturday - Can't see them being as open as Leeds were.

Just thought I would pop over here and say very well played tonight, sexy football indeed, and a lesson handed out to us make no mistake.
Hope you keep the run going and good luck for the rest of the season.
Will be down for the return fixture, next year.
