Exactly. When Barton was forced off, O'Neill should have dropped back into that position and a winger come on. Quite why O'Neill is playing on the ****ing wing in the first place, I don't know. If anything, it could have been Barton and O'Neill starting in midfield (seeing as O'Neill is an experienced defensive midfielder) and a quick player should have been played on either wing.
For the record, I don't thing Benayoun has been given a fair chance yet. When the team start playing more coherently, players like him and Krancjar will benefit from the forward play. They're useless if we are often on the back front, which is often the case lately. The team needs to move forwards as a whole to make use of such players. Faster players like SWP and Phillips are the ones for breaking forwards, not Yossi and Niko.
