Before Ipswich get too excited about potential promotion it's worth noting that the current bottom three on their point scoring average none would manage the 22 points that saw us bottom of The Premiership. The gap between the two top divisions seems to be getting wider.

The good and bad of McCallun being shown today, can’t help but feel for him. He’s barely kicked a ball all season and then thrown into the local Derby against 2nd in the league.

He's good at intercepting, then can't keep the ball.

Yeah it’s pretty ugly at the bottom there. If you remove the 10-point deduction for Everton, all of the promoted clubs are at least five points off the pace for survival and it is not even halfway through the season. That’s a huge gulf. The football league needs to distribute money better or it will become a closed Premier League within a decade.
