Harness looked lively and one of the most comfortable at the beginning of the season. Can't for the life of me understand why we sent him out. Leif has been at fault for goals in at least half our games I reckon. Yet again went AWOL against Wet Sham.
We have Junior Firpo at LB he joined when we were in the PL. We would have drove him to the airport or station ourselves if we could have saved on his wages and moved him out. In the Championship for two seasons he has been the player we’d hoped we’d signed in the PL. He is now out of contract, fans are divided about keeping him although he has decent offers from Spain so it might not matter The thing is, he is still slow, his positional sense for defending is poor, lose the ball in the PL playing as an attacking fullback and you are seriously punished. I said last year Leif is exactly the same as Firpo, you should keep him for the championship. As fans we all demand signings who are good enough for the step up but it doesn’t happen You might find a couple of players but you’re all shopping on the same shelf. McKenna was atrocious this season, the scattergun approach to transfers didn’t help. He might be excellent outside the PL but he’s shown he is not good enough at that top table. I think you’ll get around 100 points this season, when you go up and assuming it’s the Automatic places you’ll have three weeks head start on the planning That’s when you need to replace Leif, don’t be too quick in shipping out those who are proven at Championship level Good luck next season, I don’t believe you’ll need any
