Looks like a massive home match against Morecambe on Tuesday night, in what is our game in hand on table-topping Plymouth. Seen some talk around our form since the Charlton 4-4 draw and the stats make for interesting reading. Pre-Charlton, we played 16 games - won 11, drew three, and lost twice. Since that 4-4 draw, we've played ten games - won three, drew five, and lost twice. Hopefully that isn't the result that changed our season. Any changes to the starting eleven? I'd like to see Broadhead given a debut and Humphries to play in the middle alongside Morsy. Could possibly be an opportunity to rotate the defence, with Edmundson and Harry Clarke potentially coming in to try and spice things up? Score predictions for this one? I think we'll get back to winning ways with a 2-1 win, although it is worth pointing out that Morecambe have won three consecutive matches.
A big game, a strong bounce back, new players shine, Humphreys and Aluko also shine, 3-1 Town, crowd go home happy. Stretchy, can you be silent on this one!
Also worth noting Morecambe haven’t played a match since the 7th January, as their last two games have been called off. Hopefully they’ll be rusty!
I would love to see Broadhead up front with Ladapo / Hirst with Chaplin in behind and harness dropped but think we’ll go with the same formation - 2 number 10s behind a striker. It is a must win game, can’t afford to drop points. I wouldn’t mind seeing humphries start but as shocking is this sounds, I would put him for Morsy who has looked tired in recent games and I think he could use a game off
I'd bring in Humphreys for Evans and Edwards for Harness. 2 players who were showing decent form who have now just dropped out of the team
Haha...now that I've finally got one right, was thinking of backing us to win big,.so apologies if my hoodoo continues, but think this will be a comfortable 4-0 win for us. Morsy, Burgess, Freddie and Harness
I'm hoping for a change in formation to 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. It might be harsh dropping Donacien, but he is one of those players who has particularly struggled over the last several matches. I'd go for Edmundson over Burgess and start Ladapo, but other than that - exactly what I'd go for.
I don, t want to be the bearer of bad news but on current form they are better than us, their last three games = 9 points, 9 goals for 1 against. So I will be happy with 3 points however we achieve it.
Let's stop playing with 2 10s a false right back, go 442 and get it to the forwards quickly and get in and around them, let's have some heavy metal football
Owls & Barnsley games off, fingers crossed wednesday progress in the cup & get some fixture congestion.
