Portsmouth defender Haji Mnoga claimed 'someone punched him' during Ipswich FA Cup win. Kenny Jackett lifted the lid on the reason behind the melee that ensued following Pompey’s FA Cup win at Ipswich. The Blues boss said Haji Mnoga claimed that a home player ‘punched him’ during the 3-2 extra-time victory at Portman Road. 18 year old Mnoga came on as a second-half substitute for Callum Johnson against the Tractor Boys. The academy graduate was involved in a fracas at full-time and had to be pulled away by Ellis Harrison and Blues coach Jake Wigley. Jackett revealed it was because Mnoga claimed he was struck by an Ipswich player. But the Blues boss admitted he didn’t see anything deliberate during the game – and will look at the incident again. Jackett said: ‘He said someone punched him during the course of the game. ‘Whether they did, whether it was a punch or a flying elbow, I didn't see it. I didn't see any sort of deliberate punch but he was upset, definitely. ‘It's something that he has to get used to. I'll look at it again and calm him down but I didn't see a punch.’ ** I don't know if it was a coincidence but I think it was James Norwood who was the Ipswich player directly involved in the fracas **
