Look guys, all fun and games to one side, it's works like this. Swansea aren't happy with the bill and Ipswich want it paid regardless. Next week both clubs will talk and settle the matter and then its old news. No chance of an embargo unless Huw is a very stupid man. Motherwell used this tactic on us knowing full well there was an agreement in place which meant we still had plenty of time before it was due, sometimes other clubs feel agrieved when a club owes them money and are spending out on players before paying them, sound familiar, does to us bluebirds. All over with by next week.
the terms of the contract will come out soon and then everybody will see how a club like Ipswich are just trying to get money out of us! jelousy
no i have never been on any forum before, this is my first, i would read 606 from time to time but never registered to post. i remember a few names that are on here and i remember dai and i have to say he was not always right but he never pulled any punches and always said things that others were thinking so i give him credit for that...i am with him when it comes to huw though, he is not the brightest chairmen or the worse we have ever had but he do make a lot of enemies at the club with players and staff, so im with dai on that, where is he by the way, he would liven up this forum
mmmmmmm..... it all sounds a bit familiar to me! ru sure your not him in , anyhow nice to meet you Dai ooops sorry super
According to HJ he's not even spoken to Ipswich in the last few weeks and they haven't brought up any payment issues with him, instead they went straight to the press and sensationalised things by suggesting transfer embargo. Still not sure what money they are asking for either. We would have paid the loan fee up front, plus our part of the wages for the two games he played. Surely we're not liable for the time after he was sent back from loan, but we'd have to pay for the injury treatment imo, and if any deal included a payment for promotion then that would be paid once we started getting the Prem TV money (that first payment is in August iirc so they'd not expect it yet). I've got no clue as to what money Ipswich are on about, and am also very disappointed with them going to the press first rather than trying to sort it out between clubs.
So you are talking about 5 weeks pay, and perhaps a bonus for going, can't really see that being £160k to be honest, and as they have actually spoken about the loan a few weeks ago, wouldn't it have been brought up in that conversation, I know if I was owed money and was speaking to the person it would have been brought up! Which makes me think that they have an agenda here beyond the monies allegedly owed!
swans supporter for the last 47 years, also the all whites and now the ospreys, played rugby at shoolboy level also during my 18 years in the royal navy http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/U12794128 SWANS MEAN EVERYTHING TO ME..... I HAVE BEEN MARRIED TO THE SWANS LONGER THAN MY 47 YEARS TO MY WIFE bit of a coincidence there Dai
I really have no idea what all the fuss is about here, just Ipswich going to the media to try and force some payment that they may not even be entitled to. Swans won't be under any sort of embargo as next week one of 3 situations are likely to occur. 1. Lawyers look at the contract, determine we need to pay, we have the money and we pay 2. Lawyers look at the contract, determine we don't have to pay as he got injured and then Huw can write a nice letter to Ipswich telling them to **** off 3. Lawyers look at the contract, determine the contract is ambiguous on the matter in which case the contract gets interpreted against the party that is insisting on its inclusion (under the Contra Proferentem Rule) ... which here would be Ipswich..then they once again get sod all so no need to worry on any level, its just the Ipswich chief exec looking for a bit of publicity and trying to recoup some money they give that dickhead Roy Keane to spend on complete rubbish.
one thing's for sure, roy keane will get doodly squat.... he's not there anymore. he was sacked in january
i know. i was suggesting that Ipswich need to recover the money they let him spend on **** when he was there
Does anyone know of any local business men who could donate a tractor to the cause. They should be happy with that.

I still think it stinks. Anyone and their aunty knows we're alright for cash, so why the fuss? They´re obviously going to get any money due to them, so they'll have to sit tight until the law states we have to pay.
and lets not forget he likes 99 at the end of his name http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/U1707935 http://news.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/U7986754
