Yes S.S. played for the old Wimbledon in 1997/98 season but was sacked by Cologne last month. Jury out on that one i suspect.

When I saw McLaren's name on this list I was extremely happy if he was being linked, but I didn't know he'd gone back to Twente. So now I see that I just don't see him coming here.

McClaren wont come. He's happy in Holland and has made that clear to dutch press that "this time" he's in it for the long haul. FC Twente also have a shot at the europa league if they get through the playoff's.

He only came to forest after being humiliated in germany and was unemployed at the time.

Hope so but unlikely. May i suggest though that OGS is probably the only man who can unite the whole City fan base. OGS would certainly go down well with the players here and help us get more from Man Utd.

Allams talking big so now prove it then. TWT.

Clicked on their latest video, was quite good.
The drummer looks pretty hard as well , signed as player manager he might just be the striker we are looking for

I'm not so sure about OGS at the moment. He has only 1 season's management under his belt. Granted it was a successful one with Molde winning the league but he is very inexperienced, particularly in such a difficult league as the Championship.

Plus he only signed a 4 year contract in 2010 so he has 2 years left, so it could be expensive to try and get him.

McClaren and with OGS as his No.2 would show a thing or two. Regardless of how anyone feels about SM/OGS they both only know success and it would send out a clear message. Unlikely but one can hope.

Forget SM at England. Pep Guardiola would struggle with the talent England have available.

Why would he give up the manager's job and a shot at the CL for an assitant's job at a second tier side with whom he has no links? I cant see him being assistant anywhere other than Man Utd.

It could be but then again we dont know IF he has a get out clause. SAF has bigged him up and maybe a championship club is where OGS is now at in his managerial life. Nobody is a guarantee of success but at least OGS would get the respect of the club-players and fans. After Nick Barmby the Allams dare not get this appointmebnt wrong. Plus OGS would give us a head start when looking for players. Just a thought, imo.

I thought SAF urged him not to rush into management back in England not so long ago and to continue to learn his trade in Norway?

Unlikely Yes, but the championship is a higher level than the Norwegian league. It was an example of what would be good for Hull City. OGS as manager with an experienced No.2 to assist him is also good with me. Like Robinson and Gorman have been at MK Dons.

Yes he did but i think that he was meaning dont go to another PL club at the moment. The championship and Hull City may carry more favor with SAF. Plus SAF can send more kids here knowing they are well looked after. Again just a thought. imo.

    Interview question number one.
How well do you know these people?

    Nick Barmby-Adam Pearson-Paul Duffen
If the applicant says he knows who Nick Barmby is but has never met him and has never heard of the others, he gets the job.
Not idea situation in my eyes but I bet that is what the club is looking for. English football is very insular and in this situation someone from outside the network may be considered a safer option.

I also must add that the statement that whilst the club is looking it still respects the appeal process, something that is commendable.

I have decided that in future I will only refer to the club and not the Allams in my posts on this as I think that it is personnally the correct way, the club will empoly the new manager not the Allams.

The problem with going for OGS & his connection to Man Utd & all the great players he could get to come here etc, what happens if he fails, or worse falls out with the Allams & then gets fired? Any connection with Utd & chance to get their kids or any links would be severely damaged or broken.

OGS has just got Molde their first ever league title, he's on a long contract and will be playing in the Champions League next season.

Anyone who thinks he's going to jack that in, to come a mange in the Championship, is bonkers.
